I'm getting a new Ride Command. the original had several issues. It would hang up periodically. It would make a load pop and reboot. All I could play was music lately off my phone but not get any sound from FM, AM, and Weather.
UPDATE: The freezing/lockup of the unit was a Ride Command...
Question: Anyone find any replacement rubber material to replace/make the rubber mud flaps for the fender extension kit. Polaris said you have to buy the entire kit to replace a mud flap. They are not going to offer any parts for the kit. That really sucks. I guess Polaris thinks we are a...
I'm running System 3 Beadlocks with 33" Coyote tires. Didn't hit at first but now they are hitting. Not sure what option I'm going to do but changing springs is a must I believe.
FactoryUTV just came out with both 3/8" and 1/2" skid plates. They have skid plates for both the 2 and 5 seat models and offer side protectors also. They do not have an access port to get to your oil filter and they appear to me to be way overpriced IMHO. Like about $2100 + for the 5 seat...
My mechanic showed me the inside of the door locking device. It is a very poor design. The metal sliding portion of the lock is way too tight on the shaft making it very hard to engage the lock. Plus, it is a plastic piece trying to slide the metal slide. Guess what's going to break. Yep, the...
Thanks for the input. How do you protect the lower side edges below the doors where it says Polaris? Do you use rock sliders or have you been lucky and not come down hard on a rock yet?
So far I know of 2 companies that are making skid plates for the Xpedition. Super ATV has both the 2 seat and 5 seat versions out now. I believe free shipping is available also. Don't think there is a military discount though. The 2-seat version is currently offered at $607...
Actually, I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BDK455B2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09PDBWWDR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and then swapped out parts to get the desired result I wanted.
Just purchased these inner fire wall guards which they call inner fender guards. Quality is over the top. Plus, they are way cheaper than the other companies that sell the same product!
Polaris Xpedition Inner Fender Guards - AJK OffRoad
I bought those also but they broke. The company was very quick to replace but the 2nd set also broke. It's my opinion that they are not made for the off road community.
The under-hood area also gets dirt and dust. If you store your spare belt in an area that gets dirt, put your belt in a case to keep the elements off of it!
No on all your questions. These clutch kits all affect the Xpeditions performance. The Xpedition is a heavy vehicle and needs the lower gearing to perform the way Polaris wants them too. I think you'll see more burned belts if you install any of the clutch kits IMHO! Reference the sound, I...
Another Accessory task completed. I have 3 overhead lights in my Xpedition ADV 5 NorthStar. I soon realized that turning them on and off was a pain in addition to my wife not being able to reach the individual light switch. So I had them wired to a switch on the panel to turn them on and off...
The wires were run from the back of the 2 devices (12v plug-in and USB plug), to an on/off switch on the bottom row of the vehicle panel, then through the firewall at the vacant hole Polaris provided to run wires (Polaris Access Port), to a fuse block protected by a circuit breaker.
I do not...
Not sure what you are referring to when you say "Power Points". If you are referring to the 12-volt and USB plug-ins I bought them off of Amazon. Just make sure they are capable of charging the new phones, like the iPhone 14's and 15's. They don't shake at all. The Garmin arm wants to loosen...
Honestly, I don't remember but I think so. I'm super busy to check but you could call Dave at RLB Light Bar ((530) 888-9600) and he could tell you for sure.
Thinking about it, my chase light is wired to a dash 3 position switch. The middle is on, the bottom is off and when you push the rocker...
No back-up light installed. Besides tail lights and my license plate light, I only have Scene Lights, and a Chase Light Bar by RLB facing the rear. I really haven't ridden at night to know if there is a glare.
Polaris had a RAM Mount specifically designed for cell phones. It is Polaris Part Number 2890545. You can find a 2nd mount on the RAM Mounts web site without the Polaris base. Search: 700 results found for "phone mounts" The base will hold 2 phones. In fact, I added a backing plate and...
Ok, 3 more accessories I've done. 1st, I added the Lock and Ride Max Rear Floor Rail Kit, Polaris Part Number: 2889623. Then I purchased the Polaris 36" High-Lifting Jack, Polaris Part Number: 2889508. So the problem then was where to store the jack. I decided to secure it under the back seat...
