Steering Rack Issues

[Dale's Snake Pit]

I had a major clunking sound which sounded like it was coming from the driver's side. Took it into a side-by-side shop and they said it was coming from the steering rack. The machinic said he had heard of people replacing it with OEM with mixed results. Some people said it fixed the problem and others said it started clunking again after a few miles. Does anyone on here know an upgrade or a fix for this? This clunking going over small chatter is driving me nuts.

Can’t say this will stop the clunk if the rack is damaged. But it should help to keep from damaging the rack.
I’m not aware of any other steering upgrades for the Xpedition.
(This only works on OEM suspension)

Sandcraft has a damper type assembly. I'll likely end putting one on my XP5, I just started to notice what you described. It could avoid a costly replacement of the EPS unit.
