Front end rattle when going over small rock at slow speed…. Help!

About 1000 miles and really bad at 1500
I have 1000 miles on mine and it has had it since our first trip out. Jacked the front end up last night and BOOM - long travel upper control arm was loose. Didn’t look loose and with it on ground I couldn’t find it but one the less, clunk has been there since the day we got it and just found that.

Alright all, here is the update on my machine.

After the dealer basically said they just sound “clunky” I said to hell with you folks, I’ll go elsewhere. Took it to a UTV outfitter shop near me, awesome guys! They were able to find the obnoxious clunk and that was the plastic spring divider between your top spring and bottom spring. I knew they make a little noise from having them on prior machines but nothing this bad and they do wear in (or down rather) as miles get logged.

Well, now that they swapped out the Shock Therapy spring dividers and reinstalled the factory spring dividers with the shock therapy springs and TADA, fixed!

Now please keep in mind, I added shock therapy springs, clocked them, did everything Shock Therapy recommended (after several calls with them) still the same problem. Moral of the story, their spring dividers are JUNK! They will bind insanely on the shock body threads and make a clunk and popping sound you’ll feel in the steering wheel (it’s that bad).

I drove the machine around a bit, trying like hell to recreate the sound but thank god, no more sound. So I hope this helps some of you in figuring out a similar noise

Also, After they fixed the sound, I said while you have the machine, put Schrader valves in all 4 shocks and refill with nitrogen. My machine only has 500 miles on it but for me, I wanted peace of mind knowing all shocks have the required psi of nitrogen to run at optimal performance.

I ended up finding my noise last weekend! Ended up being a bolt that had backed out of my hcr kit.

Nice. I also had issues with the ST spring dividers. Very audible growl as they articulated on the shock body threads. Messed with all of the clocking positions and finally went back to the factory dividers. The ST dividers have a much tighter inner bore diameter than stock and it seems to be a bad thing in this scenario.

Yeah, I love their springs, always have on all my other machines. This is the first thing I think they’ve gotten wrong on these machines in my experience.
