Front end CLUNK!

Well, I went out to the garage this morning and gave the sway bar a good pull all different ways and that thing is solid.

I would probably give up as well, but after just owning this brand new unit a month, it needs to be addressed especially with how much they cost. If I wanted to settle for an obnoxious popping sound I would’ve bought a CFMoto. 😂

So did anyone find the fix for this issue? I have a 2025 ADV with 350 miles on it, started doing this clunking in the front end about 50 miles ago. Not sure what the issue is, checked everything in the front end and no problems of anything be loose.

It’s a joke you spend 50K on a new sxs and you get stupid shit like this in just a few hundred miles!

Help would be appreciated.
Mine was the steering rack. It was replaced in February of last year. Drove it in Colorado on the rocks all summer and no noise other than occasionally I would bottom a shock out. Seems that a large number have bad racks.

I believe this topic was already discussed however, I can't seem to find it. I'll be bringing my machine to the dealer to have the clutch kit installed and mentioned to them about a clunking noise in the front end.

To better explain, when I back out of my garage I get the clunk 99% of the time. Also, it sometimes occurs when turning. I want to say when turning hard, but can't 100% narrow it down to say it only happens when turning hard..

For anyone who's had this same issue any information is greatly appreciated. I have complete confidence in my dealership as they've been great so far and I'm sure they'll be able to address the problem however, I just need some idea(s) of what to expect. Thanks in advance.
I was having clunking or banging going threw moguls on rough roads or trails so I had the nitrogen in all shocks checked, one front was empty other side had a little the back were not full but more than front refilled them clunk is gone, I had 150 lbs put in each one with schrader valves for easy fill and check.

Glad that worked for you. I just did the same and still have it.

How many miles did you have on yours before the steering rack acted up with these sounds?

Well, I just scheduled to drop my rig off at the Dealer on Monday. Hopefully they can figure it out. If they are indeed able to find out what’s going on, I will be sure to update all of you so other people can find a potential solution to this problem.

Dropped the machine off at the dealer today to have this clunk sound looked at and surprise surprise, they could not find anything “wrong”. They could hear the clunking/popping noise but said everything looks tight and to come pick it up until something happens.

I just about crawled through my phone when they told me this. I told them they are keeping it until they figure wtf is making that noise and that I did not spend 50K on this machine to have it sounding like a rattle can driving down a trail. If I get nowhere with this dealership, I will be contacting their corporate office until things get figured out. This damn machine is just now a month old and to have any clunking or abnormal sound is 100% unacceptable.

I will keep you folks updated!

Mine was doing it from day one. Hope you get yours fixed.

Alright all, here is the update on my machine.

After the dealer basically said they just sound “clunky” I said to hell with you folks, I’ll go elsewhere. Took it to a UTV outfitter shop near me, awesome guys! They were able to find the obnoxious clunk and that was the plastic spring divider between your top spring and bottom spring. I knew they make a little noise from having them on prior machines but nothing this bad and they do wear in (or down rather) as miles get logged.

Well, now that they swapped out the Shock Therapy spring dividers and reinstalled the factory spring dividers with the shock therapy springs and TADA, fixed!

Now please keep in mind, I added shock therapy springs, clocked them, did everything Shock Therapy recommended (after several calls with them) still the same problem. Moral of the story, their spring dividers are JUNK! They will bind insanely on the shock body threads and make a clunk and popping sound you’ll feel in the steering wheel (it’s that bad).

I drove the machine around a bit, trying like hell to recreate the sound but thank god, no more sound. So I hope this helps some of you in figuring out a similar noise

Also, After they fixed the sound, I said while you have the machine, put Schrader valves in all 4 shocks and refill with nitrogen. My machine only has 500 miles on it but for me, I wanted peace of mind knowing all shocks have the required psi of nitrogen to run at optimal performance.
