    Light Whips and Light Bar

They only just put them out. Viper had their prototypes at UTV Takeover in Utah on their own Xpedition but needed to make a couple changes. I’ve only seen a couple videos of the new design. They look super clean and should be reasonably tough.

    Light Whips and Light Bar

Looks sweet! Viper Machine now has Xpedition whip mounts that bolt on to the rear cab pillar top bolt. They work on both the ADV and XP models. They are a tad expensive though at $109 for just the driver side or $199 for both sides.

This bumper at least doesn’t appear to block half the view area of the backup camera like the DRT one does. I haven’t seen a non-Polaris bumper (front or rear) yet, that looks like it could handle actually bumping into something. DRT, AJK, Thumper Fab… they’re all for looks. The Polaris line...

    Poloris issues

On the rattle, is it just when it’s at idle and parked? Or when driving? At an idle, the clutches are a little noisy and it’s normal. This is mine at idle. If it’s while driving, then does the rattle go with the engine rpms or with the vehicle speed? On early Xpeditions, some came with the...

Absolutely love the scenery, trails and historic places. To me, that’s the main reason for having a SxS. Getting out and seeing places and sights I never would have otherwise.

Xpedition adv in Idaho canyon county area

Having traded in a 2019 General for the Xpedition, I could never go back. Everything about the Xpedition is just so much better ☺️ If I’d kept the General, it’d be for the kids or to loan out.

Latest video from Evo on the Xpedition Turbo Kit. 11/15/24

Not sure on the cost. There’s a waiting list that you can get on (not sure the process for that) And in the video they said available starting in December. I’m guessing they’ve got a fair number of people already on the list. My brother got on it shortly after they first teased the setup and...

    Xpeditions at Sand Mountain Utah.

You would need to purchase the tires and wheels separately and then have a shop mount them for you if you don’t want to do the mounting yourself. Beadlock wheels are relatively easy to mount tires on but a little labor intensive. They don’t require a tire machine or even tire bars to mount...

The offset numbers are the division of the width of the wheel in relation to the hub face. For example 5/2 is 5” of the wheel behind the hub and 2” outside the hub surface. (Except for Packards) Typically, the ones with a mm offset number is plus or minus the measurement from the center of the...

Factory wheels on the Xpedition are 7” wide with a 6/1 offset. Factory tires are 10” wide on the front and 11” wide on the rear. Going to aftermarket tires, they’re 10” wide tires both front and rear. On SxSs, 10” wide wheels are typically only used on the rear for paddle tires. To my...

    Montana license plate and LLC

Yeah, Colorado is one of the Non-reciprocity states. Even with a street legal Utah or Montana registration they still require a non-resident OHV permit. In Utah, if your vehicle is registered as off-highway, they require non-resident OHV permit but if it’s registered as street legal, they...

I went with the Packard Performance S5 15x7 beadlock wheels with the 3.5/3.5 offset. S5 - Beadlock - Silver RZR PRO R 5X4.5 by Ultra-light That offset put my Xpedition at 72” overall width. For reference, the last Xpedition we built, with HCR Mid Travel suspension and Method 5/2 offset...

    2024 Polaris XPEDITION Accessory Talk

After a year and a half of owning my Xpedition, I’m almost done throwing money at it! 😂 (aside from routine maintenance) Basically, shock tuning is the last thing on my list but I was waiting until the shocks were due for service since they’ll have them disassembled then anyway.

My personal opinion is that the only reason to go bigger than the 32” tires would be for rock crawling, mud bogging or simply personal preference. For all the types of riding I do, the 32s have been perfect.

    Xpeditions at Sand Mountain Utah.

Oh it did phenomenal with the 32”s. I was running the tires at 7-8 psi and the Xpedition had plenty of power for ripping the bowls. I don’t really want any larger tires on it. There was an Xpedition with HCR and 35” tires there also (right in front of me in the third video). His had the stock...

    Montana license plate and LLC

That’s the point of the LLC. You don’t own the vehicle, the LLC does. Also the LLC is the legal resident of Montana. You are just allowed to use the vehicle by the LLC, with the stipulation that you provide insurance. I know some states will try coming after people for the taxes, but legally...

    Montana license plate and LLC

It is fully legal… the problem is that cops generally don’t know all the laws. And the ones that are just there to fill quotas and generate revenue will jump at anything that boosts their status. Reciprocity laws basically allow a vehicle to operate as it would in its registered State so long as...

    Go Fast Parts

For the first 2000 miles I had the stock muffler with the tune and clutch kit. I finally got an RPM muffler on it about a month ago. The RPM muffler is about half the cost of every other option out there but it’s still top quality. Stainless steel with a powder coated cover. It’s a little...

    Exhaust

My brother and I both have the RPM mufflers. At $400 they’re considerably less expensive than every other option I’ve seen out there, including the factory muffler from Polaris. They’re only slightly louder than stock but give the exhaust a deeper tone. We had also drilled out the material in...

Super ATV 1” forward front arms with 35s ?

Also, the description on the SATV 1” offset a-arms says it fits a 33” tire without a lift. Sounds like the S3 a-arms would be better for you and they’re really close to the same price.

Super ATV 1” forward front arms with 35s ?

My guess is that no one has tried these as of yet. S3 Powersports has a set of 2” forward a-arms that say they will clear up to 35” tires. Here’s the link. S3 Power Sports Polaris Xpedition +2" Forward High Clearance A-Arm Kit

    Unknown plugs??

While even Polaris’ website can say “backordered” I’ve found that going to my local dealer, they can generally locate the nearest part in their network and get it to me in a couple days. There’s only been a couple times where it was backordered for them too.

    Belt Inspection

The only difference between the ADV and XP is being able to see everything a little better with the bed up. Everything is still unbolted and bolted back together from the side under the bed frame. I have found that jacking the rear of the machine up until the tires are off the ground makes...

Small Knock in Motor or Clutch?

The clutch rattle/tick is something that’s always there at an idle. Here’s mine if you want to compare.
  49. JTBarlow

Small Knock in Motor or Clutch?

It’s normal for the clutches to have a clicking sound at an idle. There’s a small gap between the wear sleeves on the spider and wear plates on the towers of the primary clutch that can cause a clicking or rattling sound until it’s under load.
  50. JTBarlow

    Unknown plugs??

No. They’re proprietary for Polaris. Even the website posted a few posts ago is higher priced than Polaris, meaning they probably are just a reseller. The 2 options are either buy the switch from Polaris or clip the plug end and re-wire for a standard switch.
  51. JTBarlow

    Unknown plugs??

The fuse for the bumper lights is in the small fuse block, top right corner, labeled “lights” The circuit runs taillights, DRL and switch lighting as well. The fuse is a 15 amp but with everything else on the circuit I wouldn’t recommend more than a 10 amp draw at the bumper lights.

    Oil useage

Both my Xpedition currently and my General previously, and every Polaris I’ve worked on that I’ve pulled an intake tube on have had some oil film in the intake. 🤷‍♂️ Same thing on my brother’s KRX. I’m running 32” Maxxis Carnivore tires. 32” and some brands of 33” tires can run on the stock suspension without rubbing. If you want to do larger than that you’ll need long travel suspension or portals. The Xpedition I’m following in one of the videos has the HCR Mid Travel suspension and is...

    The Ultimate Adventure Setup

Pretty much! 😂 One of the main places we go camping is out by the Grand Canyon, and it’s a long way from anywhere! We’re usually out there for 4-5 days. Polaris had a good idea with the Xpedition and Rooftop tent, but you have to pack up camp whenever you want to go riding. That, and you’re...
