I used regular pipe insulation. The way the pipes are installed it's hard to get insulation everywhere on them. I did the best I could. Also insulated the inner walls of the tunnel
We just made a couple trips up two very rocky and steep trails in Colorado. Had to ride the brakes quite a bit coming down both. Brakes are a little better than they were.. Machine had about 350 miles on it and the brakes sucked. Now they have 450
I have a Ranger XP900 (2015) with nearly 5k miles. It's been all over the farm, through ditches and creeks and the front glass has never cracked. Also put Super ATV a arms and a lift kit and took it on the Colorado rocks and still no cracks..
You either got a bad bunch of glasses or bad drivers...
I added insulation between the headliner and roof. Not sure if it helped or not but sure can't hurt. I used Siless sound deadening foam off of Amazon. Took it up in the mountains twice this week. Didn't feel any heat from the roof area but heat still gets into the cab from the dash area.
If the ratchet strap idea doesn't work I am going to try and stiffen mine up. Maybe take a piece of hardwood, paint it black and screw it to the underside of that lip
File is too large for me to upload. FB group link is;

I am afraid mine will end up breaking off on our long trips from TX to CO. I think I am going to put a ratchet strap on mine from front to back and see if that helps
You need to learn to work on your stuff yourself. The AA Cruiser clutch is around $500 depending upon the options. They charged you $800 labor to install it???
Jump the wires to the brake switch with a piece of wire. Leave it that way for awhile. If it starts every time it's bad. Very common problem with Polaris
On the set that I bought I don't think the threaded part was long enough. I did see a post somewhere that someone mounted them directly into the plastic but I assume they were different.
This must be your first Polaris. That's what all of their machines come with. I don't want or expect Polaris to include tools. Does your truck include tools? All they give you is a jack and lug wrench. I carry two Packouts full of tools and another two full of stuff like air compressor, jump...
I went from a 17 General 2 door with deluxe cab (folding side windows, flip up front window and heater). Now have a XP5 Northstar.
New machine had lots of issues at the start. Way too noisy in the cab. I added an Aftermarket Assassins cruiser clutch kit and 32" tires. Both made it quieter. Also...
Considering the fact that my 2013 XP900, 2016 XP Turbo, 2017 General, 2023 Turbo R and now Xpedition don't start good in the cold, I would say the flash is a waste of time. Oops I forgot the 2015 Ranger.
They took 11 years to come out with a fix? 🤣🤣
Mine have been bleed and over 500 miles on it. Brakes still don't work good. Running down a county road at 40 some idiot pulled out in front of us. I literally had to stand on the pedal to make it stop. A safety issue for sure............
Did you add the remote control for the winch? if so I read that for the plow to work you have to take the module out (that you installed to make the remote work) and reinstall the one that came in the machine when you got it
Way too wide in my opinion. A total width of 72" would be great. My Turbo R is around 78". Had to get a new trailer 83" wide and way to wide for some wooded trails. 72" like my stepdaughter's Can AM Maverick is about perfect. That would give me 4" extra width on each side.
I used those or similar but the door bracket won't fit through any of the connection points besides the first one. . I had to use cable ties but still works fine.
A clutch kit can lower the rpm around 1000 rpm. So if you have one go drive it at lets say 5000 rpm then drop down to 4000 rpm and that's what it will sound like.
I insulated everything I could on mine first and threw bigger tires on it. Both helped a little but the Aftermarket Assassinc cruiser...
I made my own 2" out of UHMW. My only complaint now is its hard to latch the seat belt because it's below the top level of the seat.
No extended flares for me- that's just something else to tear up or off and have to replace repeatedly
Beating on the shaft and not damaging the EPS is not skill, it's just luck that haven't don't damaged one yet.
You're supposed to remove the upper steering shaft, steering assembly and steering wheel as one piece. THEN remove the steering wheel.
Just brought our Xped to Colorado. It was 27 degrees and was hard to start. I cranked about 4 seconds, let rest a second or two and on the second attempt it started after about 2 seconds. We will keep it in the garage here. Its not heated but doesn't get colder than around 40 so should start...
It's not a good idea to hit on the shaft with a hammer. You can damage the EPS. Polaris states this in the manual and there are many posts on people damaging their EPS from doing so.
On the Xpedition the steering rack and eps are one piece so very expensive $2549.00
I have been buying Riders Advantage Extended warranties from my dealer. Had the front diff repaired once and then replace on my Turbo R for free. On the Xpedition just had the steering rack/eps replaced. Might have still been under Polaris 6 month warranty but still a repair had to be done. As...
I have 32" Tusk Terrabites. Mine don't measure 32" at 15psi, more like 31.5". I do have an XP5 with several hundred lbs of gear so I am way heavier than you. Got 500 miles on them. So good so far. Work pretty good in snow..
Because I knew ditches is what made mine make the noise I went and found some ditches behind the dealership and run mine through it. About a 50 mi round trip to the dealership for me so I don't want to make one extra if I don't have to
