Polaris XP\ADV 5 Rear Doors do not open enough.

As everyone knows, for a large person the rear doors do not open enough. I looked at Polaris's design and saw that their door straps are wrapped around the window wires then arrached to the door and door frame. The straps only measured 5 to 5 1/4 inches long. So with some left over 1" straps, my wife got busy and made 2 - 6" straps. After mounting the new strap, I zip tied the old and new straps together. I elected not to remove the old strap because they were wrapped around the wires providing some protection to the wires even though there was some bundling when the doors close. Now the doors open much wider to give more room for loading and passenger access. Let me know your thoughts.

Does it interfere with the front door at all or bind the body panels at all?

No interference at all. Attached are pictures from each side with rear doors full open using the 6" strap! I probably could have gone longer but nylon stretches so I elected to go conservative.

I found just the strap needed to make this job easy. It was a Jeep door strap on Amazon that has different connection points so you can get the correct length. The listing shows the dimensions from one end, but if you measure from the other end, I found a position that made the strap 6.3" long and it was perfect for opening the doors the right amount.

Did my rear doors yesterday, simple, replace strap with longer one, doors open much wider now, ordered off amazon, strap number in pics.

I used those or similar but the door bracket won't fit through any of the connection points besides the first one. . I had to use cable ties but still works fine.
