SATV long travel

I know shock therapy calls for measuring ride height loaded and with driver/passengers. I gave them heavier weights than I typically run and still had to put in 2” of preload to get to my 15” ride height (32” tires). Don’t love it but not sure what else to do. Hope you like the schmidty kit.
I’m not sure what’s going on with ST but seems like they aren’t getting spring rates right lately. I’ve heard the same thing from a few people. Maybe just a formula they are using going off of something that has worked in the past and not actually doing them on the cars. They did springs on a rzr I had years ago and they were spot on but a buddy of mine that did their kit on an xpedition had the same issue as you. Not sure how much preload he ended up with but it was quite a bit more than had they suggested.

If you know what your spring rates are, you can order higher ones. While I don’t have long travel on my Xpedition, the deep wheel offsets mimics HCR style long travel in how the shocks/springs are affected. For the current Stance and load I’m running Eibach springs, 600 over 650 on the rear and 600 over 600 on the front. They’re basically right at the max preferred preload, but it’s not at the point that I’d go with higher spring rates.

Yep I’ve always felt my ST springs were low on spring rate. My rear is definitely more compressed than yours. Their answer was to add preload. I don’t want to drop another $900 on springs so I’ve just run with it.

The MTS kit I just put on had 410 over 410 in the front and only has 1” of preload. I didn’t notice the rear rates before powder.

My ride height was measured with my 32-in tires which actually measure about 31 and 1/4
