I was trying to get a quote to install a long arm kit and I got this response back from the installer. Anyone else hearing similar? ....."Here Is the (superATV) long travel quote, HCR is not an option anymore unfortunately. This LT kit hasn't had the issues the hcr or thumper fab kits have had and it comes with a killer warranty."

The only “issues” I’ve heard of with HCR and Thumper Fab were delays in getting them. For HCR, they got hamstrung by their parent company prior to their sale to SATV. We finally got a set from HCR that was ordered around the time of their transition, so it appears they’re shipping now. I just don’t know how big their backlog is. And honestly, I’ve never known HCR to need a warranty. The stuff I’ve seen them survive is rather impressive.

That being said, my experience with SATVs warranty was top notch! I had a set of SATV High Clearance A-arms on my old General that broke a couple welds. In my opinion, had the welds been properly engineered, they never would have broken, but SATV was quick to uphold their warranty and shipped a replacement set out quickly.

There’s also a new option for Long Travel coming in February… at least preorders start February 3rd. No idea yet when they’ll start shipping. And that’s JRI Suspension.

The people behind JRI were with HCR before their SATV acquisition. The previews I’ve seen on this suspension is every bit as good as HCR.

From being a member of many FB groups- the axles have been falling out right and left on Thumper Fab and the other name brands. I went with the SATV for several reasons. One, I haven't seen one report of an axle falling out. Second it was at a good price. I see some say the fully boxed frame of Thumper Fab and others is so much better than SATV. Well the Xpedition isn't my rockcrawler- that's my Turbo R. The Xpedition does go on rocky trails in Colorado and the SATV LT kit will hold up fine. i had SATV arms on my XP Turbo and they held up fine.
Took me about 25-30 hours to install the SATV LT kit, bleed the brakes, do front end alignment and camber. I did order springs from Schmidty yesterday. The SATV 2 seater LT kit comes with springs, the XP5 doesn't.

Forgot to mention I also went with the SATV 300M ball joints. I added grease zerks as I don't care for the needle type grease fittings

He got back to me and said the Thumperfab kit keeps having issues with axles popping out. The HCR kit is great, but there’s a long waitlist because of the acuisition, so it’s not an option right now. SuperATV has a good setup with a strong warranty, and the best part is—it’s available now. The place is Kombustion Motorsports in Utah and they do a ton of long-arm installs and custom work.

I've got an Xpedition ADV5 with the S3 Powersports +2" Forward High Clearance A-Arms Kit and the SDI E-Clik Adjustable Shock system with Tusk Terrabite® Radial Tire 33x10-15 Medium/Hard Terrain that puts me about 68" wide. I want to add a Wide/Long Travel Kit. Of the 3 talked about, ThumperFAB, HCR and SATV, which one would work best with my setup? What parts would be required at what cost? Thanks.

SATV is the cheapest and quickest to get right now. HCR is 4-6 months out on new orders last I heard, but top tier. JRI is expected to be top tier as well, and they’re taking pre-orders so no idea on how long to get them. I’m not really familiar with Thumper Fab, in person, but everything I hear is that they take a long time to ship.

If I was doing it personally, I’d wait on JRI or HCR🤷‍♂️

You can't use your S3 a arm kit with any of them as the long travel a arms will be replacing those. The stock shocks work with the SATV kit so if the SDI shocks have the same specs they should work. Not sure if the other kits use stock shocks or not. Not sure about the springs that you got with the SDI shocks as they offer several options. You need to ask them about that
Tires will be fine.

If you go SATV it comes with axles and everything that you need

So the reason you’re getting weird answers is because Super ATV bought HCR in the last few months and it all had to be relocated, but I still believe they’re gonna make the HCR kit

HCR is currently building kits. They just have a huge backlog of orders from before the acquisition. So there’s some long delays on new orders.
