Leaky corners front flip up window

Purchased a 2024 xpedition 5 seater. Beautiful machine but discovered our first flaw. Window does not seat in the 2 lower corners. The wind drives rain in and on dash and passengers. Reading post I discovered that this is a common problem. I contacted the dealer and going to order a new window. I'm afraid this will not fix the problem if the new window is the same. There is no adjustment for this. Either a new weather strip which will breach the gap or window needs to be re-☆engineered to sit better in corners. I can't help but think that Polaris is aware of this flaw. Does anyone have any info on this issue and did anyone have the dealer solve the issue without adding weather stripping? I could also add weather stripping and solve the leak but paid way too much to have a mickey mouse fix.

Hi!

The seal of the front window is slightly adjustable. There are three screws holding the latch stop to the dash. If you loosen those screws you may be able to pull the window in tighter. Have you by chance tried that?

Yes I tried. Latch is in all the way. Window is sitting as designed, tight everywhere but corners.

You can adjust the top window mounting brackets as well. This is a small set screw, then a large allen screw that will pull the tension of the window in or out. Not a specific adjustment for the bottom corners but does impact overall tension to the frame. I now only get water in the bottom corners when directly spraying with a pressure washer when cleaning. Need to find a balance because tight on the bottom makes it loose on the top which may leak as well.

Yes I hear ya. The adjustment does not solve the problem in this case. Either the frame has to come out to the glass or the glass has to come to the frame. Also I think a modified weather strip would work. Thicker on the corners to bridge the gap. I'm hoping that Polaris is addressing this. Maybe they have and the new glass maybe different but the dealer has no insight into this. Thanks for the reply....

Unfortunately I don’t have a solution for you but have an early model xp5 and don’t have any issue with the leak you describe. Very solid windshield seal all the way around. Hopefully they get you straightened out and fixed just know it doesn’t appear to be a pervasive issue across every machine.

Mine only started leaking when I opened it the first time .i have to hand adjust the seal whenever o open it to do some wipe down or dash work, it will seal up when I push the edges and sides down ...

I was drinking talking smack in my buddies shop. He had xpedition sitting there and we noticed something different from his buggy which was an earlier ride to his friends that was a later . This a pic of the lower Seal when the window is closed .

Mine leaked from the top. Brought it to the dealership and they adjusted the top window brackets. Problem solved. That prob doesn't help your situation much however, I was told by the dealership to keep an eye along the bottom when closing the window. The seal has a tendency to curl or not seed correctly.
