Just bought a 26 ADV. Am looking for a new turn signal kit. One that self cancels. I have put the Rico unit on a Honda Talon, worked fine, looking for an upgrade.

I’ve had Ryco Moto and W. D. Electronics but my personal preference on this is the XTC Self-canceling Turn Signal Kit.

It’s a high quality system and installs very cleanly. They also have the option for full headlight replacements with the front turn signals in them, rather than drilling holes and mounting external lights.

Also, if you need side mirrors, my recommendation is the Chupacabra Quero mirrors.

At $230 with the Xpedition A-Pillar mount they’re only a little more expensive than the Polaris ones, but replacement glass is only $8. If you break the glass on the Polaris (or kemimoto knockoffs) you have to buy a new set of mirrors. They’re also very clean looking and have the ability to add a mirror mounted light.

Ok, I just ordered the XTC self canceling turn signal kit, with the X-LITE Front DRL lights. Going to Rocky Mountain ATV/MC to order the Tusk AC Line Shield to cover the AC lines. I expect to order more stuff, any ideas?

The Geiser Performance Shifter boot is a very clean and useful addition.

The center console is open from the shifter all the way down to the skidplate, so hot air from the engine and radiator can blow up through.

Depending on your typical riding terrain, Rock Sliders may be something to consider. I have the Polaris HD Low Profile Rock Sliders on my machine, and they’ve saved my frame and plastics more times than I can count. They are very heavy though. For a lighter weight option SSS Offroad has UHMW sliders that work quite well.

Then something I recommend for all new Xpeditions. Have a shop check the nitrogen pressure in the shocks and adjust the ride height. Out of more than 20 Xpeditions I’ve worked on only 4 individual shocks have been at the proper nitrogen pressure. And exactly 0 Xpeditions have come from the factory at the advertised 14” ground clearance. Every one I’ve worked on has been 12” or less.

Thanks Mr. Barlow. Looks like I’ll be looking for the shifter boot. I put one in the Honda Talon that went away. The shifter boot was from a jeep transfer case. I go to the Rocky Mountains to do some trail riding, I can see I may want the Rock sliders. I’ll do some checking on the other items. Again Thank you for your help.

Ok, I got the XTC lights put on. And things are working fine. On to another item, the interior noise. Has anyone installed the DEI heat and sound insulation? I threw in a thick moving blanket in the back and tucked it behind the seats. Did seem to help with the engine noises. Put sun visors in tomorrow. Have a good day, thanks.

MCS Adventures is the way to go. It does not self cancel but it is by far the most straightforward to install and operate. It also has the most detailed instructions. They are color printed on real paper no QR code or improper English translation.
