Tracking Xpedition Order

After ordering Northstar XP 5 and waiting patiently for what seems like forever…I discover the new Ranger 1500 Northstar. What to do indeed.

I’m with you. The ranger is more money but I think you just get more! It’s going to be quieter. I’m not impressed with the detuned 1500. Is should make 150 hp at least. I’ll go see my adv5 when it comes in. If it’s too loud I’ll order a ranger.

Ranger will not ride as smooth. Xpedition has better shocks and more travel. Plan on about 4k extra for new shocks. Ranger doesn't have rock sliders available so you will have to wait on aftermarket. Ranger is 10" longer which will make going around switchbacks a 3 point turn.

I am sure you can get someone to tune your Xpedition but you aren't going to get anywhere close to your dreamed up 150hp

Aftermarket Assassins:
Level 1 Tune: This tune can be run on a bone stock Xpedition on 91-93 octane fuel. This tune adds +3-4 RWHP (5-6 crank HP) putting you at roughly 120 crank horsepower with just a flash! Add S3 clutching and you are a huge 8-9 RWHP above OEM! This tune can be run with an aftermarket exhaust without any issue, but our Level 2 tune is the best option for aftermarket exhaust as it's slightly richer for more power and less heat.
Level 2 Tune Coming Soon: This tune is developed for an Xpedition with aftermarket exhaust on 91-93 octane. This tune adds +6-7 RWHP peak and a massive +8-9 RWHP at 30 MPH (This is gaining roughly +10-11 crank horsepower) putting you at roughly 125 crank horsepower with just a flash and exhaust! Due to how these motors/tuning works, this tune should work with about any aftermarket exhaust, but was tested and designed with our AA slip-on exhaust

That’s bad! So was it insured under your name yet?
The dealership took ownership of it and ripped up my paperwork and they used their insurance to cover the damages. At the time, while still in the dealership I didn't get it insured cause I was going to do that like later when I got home, but after this I'm getting insurance before I leave the lot!!!

Polaris can get 50hp+ out of 500cc. The ranger is 1500cc. Is should make 150hp.

Dealer called and said my expedition is in and will be ready for pickup Thursday so I went to the bank to get the loan which were pre approved for now and they won’t lend until they have a copy of the MSO. I thought no problem I’ll have the dealer email me a copy. I was wrong I guess they ship the units without them which is weird to me. Now instead of getting it this week it’ll be next week if I’m lucky. I guess on the bright side it wasn’t supposed to show up until October. Always something it seems this time it being a useless piece of paper…

I've never had a dealer that had to wait on an MSO so that sounds strange.

My FIRSTEXPEDITION WAS DESTROYED IN THE PARKING LOT, So they ordered me a new one sucks cause I drove 5 hours just to have an asshat plow into the side and smash the frame, right after I signed the paperwork!!View attachment 362
Just got the call my new ride is in for the 2nd time!!lol it will be a few days before i pick it up , ordered a few extra parts for it for them to install. Funny how I got it before the ship date above on 8/17 expected to ship 8/18! lol

Got it picked up this morning been a good day!

It seems fair at this point that Polaris should be making an official statement as to why things are so delayed. This is now months past when they advertised availability and deliveries. I'm fuming!

Ffs.....me too.....just now! Literally changed in the last 15 minutes. Come on Polaris, what is going on with the ADV 5!!!!
Hey guys. Is it the color? Maybe they’re making the orange ones quieter?

Maybe they’re putting the 1500 engine in them?

Maybe they’re putting the steel drive trans in them?
