Tracking Xpedition Order

Thank you. I got the machine home late yesterday and had a chance to drive it a little.
First impressions; The ride is amazing compared to my ranger, the visibility is terrible as it needs mirrors, BAD. The engine noise coming from behind the seat area is terrible. It needs more insulation. I'm going to see what I can do on that. I really hope that enough people complain about the noise that Polaris makes something to add back there to help out. The RPM at cruising just 20mph seems really high, it seems like they could have tightened the clutching up some which would also help with the noise. I love the the seats, they are very comfortable and the new doors are SO much better than the suicide doors that I had on my ranger.
Overall, I love it and I think most of the little problems can be improved and make the perfect machine.
Also, I had all the windows tinted with legal ceramic tint and with that the A/C seemed to work really well in our 100 deg weather.
Congrats on your new machine!

Side mirrors should definitely be factory standard instead of an accessory. If only do one add on those are a must. Another thing Polaris should do is turn signals and horn. Regardless whether they’re licensable for street use, they are made for gravel roads and trails and it’d be a lot safer to be able to signal for people riding behind.

I believe the rpms are set to run higher at low speeds because these are meant to be quite heavy and the higher rpm will make them a little more responsive.

Definitely the most comfortable side by side I’ve ever been in for both seating and ride quality.

Here’s to a lot of awesome rides in the great outdoors! 🍻

Thank you for sharing your initial impressions! We would love to see some pictures as I don't think anyone has posted an Xpedition with tinted windows yet.

The tinted windows look fantastic with Army Green paint!

That mounting location looks like a good solution. Maybe you could mount a Rhino grip to the side there to hold it securely. Here's a link to the ones I used under the middle seat in a Defender I had that worked well.

I am going to work with the best gun rack system that I've ever seen and that's the Texas Holdem gun rack. They don't have a specific mounting solution for the xpedition yet but I am going to see if I can come up with that.
Keep us posted

My dealer contacted me this morning to let me know that my xpedition was in. Went by and drove it around their parking lot some. Love it so far but hard to tell much in the parking lot. Air conditioning worked well and sound system too but of course I wasn't able to go over 15mph. Hopefully I will get to bring it home next week after we finalize the details and they install some accessories!😀

Thanks for the input. I didn't get mirrors, but guessing I will be in the near future. I ride some tight trails and figured they would just get ripped off.

Anyone know how the mirrors are installed? Easy or a PITA?

They weren’t difficult at all. There’s 2 torx screws on the inside that hold the outside a-pillar cover on and 1 plastic push rivet you get to with the door open. Then you just remove that outer cover and put the mirror in its place.

I just installed the mirrors on mine and it is super easy. 2 bolts and 1 of those plastic push rivets.
