I just bought a 2024 Xpedition XP I'm going through the break-in. I bought it to ride ATV trails (nothing serious) as well as driving around my deer camp. Can someone tell me what is the best mode to probably use doing these things? This is my first SXS.

Congrats on the new machine and welcome to the Forum.
I run my Xpedition in Turf mode (1 wheel drive) any time I’m on pavement. This saves tire life and excessive wear on the drivetrain. Then 2 wheel drive on the majority of off-road riding. I only use all wheel drive as needed and only for as long as it’s needed. Such as steep rocky hills or really sandy areas. Stuff like the sand dunes is just all all wheel drive.
For the throttle switch, I typically run on normal, switching to comfort for technical parts on trails or things like loading it onto a trailer. Stuff where better throttle control is needed. Sport mode I usually only use at the sand dunes or where the tire traction is minimal. It can be a little touchy on the throttle in sport mode.

And then there’s the shock settings. 1 being the softest and 3 being the firmest, you want the lowest setting that doesn’t allow the suspension to bottom out, for the most comfortable ride.

Great breakdown JT ! The only thing I might tell a newbie is to run the suspension on the softeset (1) setting first and see if it ever bottoms out. If its their first UTV they will probly never need anything stiffer ! And that way they will have the best ride for sure !!

I run comfort on the trails because it makes the throttle not so jumpy if you are on rocks.
On our General we ran turf mode 90% of the time, even on the trails. If not in turf mode we were in 4wd. We do the XP5 the same way
