I have the Speedwerk kit, I wouldn’t waste money on it. I’ve had to change all kinds of stuff and it’s still not good. It’ll lower rpm and noise, but the performance suffers big time. I’ve had mine apart 5-6 times making suggested changes, total PITA. Buy something that’s plug and play, the...
I used Siless Hybrid 3 in 1 5mm. I did the entire rear wall behind factory mat, removed seats and did panels under them, did inside center console, added heavy floor mats, removed side panels on exterior of cab and did those areas. I’m going to remove the skid plate at some point and do the...
We have a 2 seater XP and have zero heat complaints, the A/C will absolutely freeze you out. I'm guessing having the entire rear enclosed sitting over the engine on an ADV creates quite a hot box. The noise on the other hand pisses me off, I've added sound deadening materials and also...
I'll say it again, my Terrabites are the standard version, not the HD Aramid cord version (I was told those run slightly small). I called RMATV before ordering and was assured the tires ran true to size, mine are 100% 32" at 12-13#. If you're measuring the tires on the machine, you'll get...
Agree with Tanglefoot69, mine is the exact same temp wise and the fan control must be variable, cause the fan is super slow/quiet most of the time. If I run the A/C, the fan runs constant and temps stays around 178.
In my opinion, I would waste $500 on the Speedwerx Kit. I rode in a Xpedtition with the free Polaris upgrade and it's 95% there from my perspective. The Speedwerx kit hasn't been tested for variables, like larger tires etc...., even though it says for use with 32" tires. As you can imagine...
I ended up removing 1/2 of the set-screw weight from each arm and also backed the 2nd set-screw out to the heel. My machine picked up about 600-700 RPMS on the top end. It's still pretty low (7650-7700), but I'll leave it and try it out on the trails. Speedwerx recommended this change, they...
I ran the machine quite a bit yesterday and found the unit won't rev above 7100 RPM. I emailed Speedwerx, I'll update this once I hear back and figure out what they recommend. I will say 0-40MPH is totally different, you can actually have a conversation driving around now. It certainly...
I installed the kit this morning and like the drivability of it. The engagement is much lower and the jerkiness of the clutching that my unit had is totally gone as is the sensation of having to really push the gas pedal to get any speed. I can cruise at 40 mph with the RPM's around 5300-5500...
The Northstar units have an actual alternator that's ducted to atmosphere (passenger side rear). The non-Northstar units have a stator system that's selaed differently.
I'll hopefully have the kit tomorrow and I'll get it installed this weekend. Once I get it in and tested I'll report back, but after watching the video and talking with Speedwerx direct, it sounds like the ticket to significantly reduced cab noise and gaining performance. Video is worth...
It's funny you say that about spare bolts. My son was working on his car next to my brand new Xpedition, he was struggling to get his aluminum wheels off and was using my Xpedition for leverage, when rocking on it a brand new 12mm headed bolt fell out of my machine. No idea where it came from...
My unit required 1/2 a turn on each tie rod (one in and one out) to straighten the wheel. What you described isn't the solution, you want the front wheels parallel to each other for proper alignment. The string line only trues up the front tires to the rear which isn't how you properly align a...
Mine was also off when I came home from the dealer. I simply turned my wheel straight and figured out which way each tire needed to go, then adjusted my tie rods ends equally until perfect. Took about 5 minutes to get it perfect.
My Xpedition was spot on for ride height when I picked it up from the dealer. 14" under the front and rear, I'd say the springs were 5/8"-3/4" down from the top.
Just put on some 32” Tusk Terrabite tires this morning. They measure exactly 32” at 12-15# and are easily 3” taller than the Crawler XP that came on the machine. Ground clearance is 15-3/4”. Nice improvement to the look and clearance, haven’t driven it yet.
