Ya I think the post you found is for the driveshaft rattle which is different than what we are chasing here. I had that issue too and went to an aftermarket driveshaft to address it.
My rear sway bar is still on. I only really notice additional roll when running a road at speed. Trail articulation is improved. I find it’s a preference thing. You can disconnect one end and test it out for your riding style. For me it started with chasing the rattle and liked it enough I took...
I have the same issue as you describe. Also running ST springs but the rattle predates the install of those. It sounds like the upper shock mount bolt in drivers side but I’ve been through the front suspension about a dozen times disassembling/reassembling and checking/tightening everything in...
My Xpedition XP5 sees a lot of farm and hunting use so I can’t really run vertical whips as I need bed rails for work and tie downs and can’t have anything off roof rack or they would get ripped off by trees. That said, my kids love whip lights and I like them for safety when riding for...
Unfortunately I don’t have a solution for you but have an early model xp5 and don’t have any issue with the leak you describe. Very solid windshield seal all the way around. Hopefully they get you straightened out and fixed just know it doesn’t appear to be a pervasive issue across every machine.
I haven’t had it at all here at home in Iowa. We were in CO in August and I got the check engine light with O2 error twice - similar to what you describe. If I remember correctly both were at elevation above 11k but after awhile cleared out on their own. I did not have a gas fume smell but...
Interesting. Just spoke with them and sounds like it is shipped with a new carrier bearing. Front and rear diff attachments have set screw and center slip joint is through bolted. I am tempted to pull the trigger but haven’t heard of the company before although they seem to be well reviewed. Any...
Mine has had the drive shaft rattle since new. I’ll be putting the Sandcraft shaft in once released. I expect any Polaris replacement to likely do the same. They’ve had the same issue with other models for years.
I made a secondary shim adjustment with my new belt when installing it. I think the first that blew wasn’t tracking perfectly in the primary and that is what got it.
My point remains - check your stuff periodically (clutch alignment and belt condition) so you don’t have an issue and break the...
I blew my belt going down the highway this week. Normally not a big deal but it took a chunk out of the inner pvt cover as you see in the picture. The cover was a pain in the ass to replace today without an extra set of hands.
No fault of the machine just my own. The belt had about 1500 miles...
I have over 1,000 miles with aftermarket 6+1 wheels and 1.5” spacers running 32” tires with no issues. Gave it the stance I wanted without going too far. I did this before a lot of other wheel options came out that would have done the same without spacers. Also running a shock therapy spring kit...
I did the same as jd farmer just got what I could from below. The biggest difference in reducing cab heat came when I covered the floor with mass loaded vinyl from Second skin audio then terick solutions floor mats over top of that. Made a big difference in noise reduction as well.
2k miles and it comes back pretty quickly after each greasing. If you pop the center console liner out you can see the oscillation and hear the rattle directly in the carrier bearing. Considered having a driveshaft shop balance the prop shaft but was hoping an aftermarket solution would become...
We like them too. Used them in the dunes 2 weeks ago. Worked really well when wife and son were in their own machines and they could hop in with me since no wires!
It’s been done. These look like the SATV side panels. I’ve kicked it around too but use the dump box enough I haven’t been super motivated to go down the rabbit hole.

The Milwaukee works really well for me and I could buy tool only for cheaper since I already have several batteries. The auto pressure stop has been hit or miss on smaller tires like my sons atvs but not a huge deal for me.
Agree and where it gets frustrating. Might be some resolution if someone has a dealer that is really on top of stuff like this. Mine isn’t one of those unfortunately.
Drove past my dealer this morning on the way to work. See a new XP5 that just came in. Lo and behold the rear roof section arches upwards towards the sky and matches the curve of the front! Looks like the mold got fixed.
Good to know - let us know how it turns out. FYI since it sounds like you are doing the ST spring kit - their spring dividers have a much tighter tolerance to shock body than factory. I got terrible feedback with any shock articulation from divider rubbing the shock body threads. Springs were...
Thanks for posting as I’ve been looking at these for a dune trip. Any feedback on performance? Also, you like the HP on the rear over standard? My understanding was they typically recommend those for turbo machines. Thanks!
It doesn’t sound normal especially if it is noticeable to you. Mine takes the least effort to turn the wheel of any utv I’ve been in. Significantly less than my wife’s RZR Pro xp.
Throw the tether in the trash - it is not needed. We use the Ram in all of our rides and really like them. Very stable and solid while allowing for a lot of adjustment.
If I run 91 octane mine won’t start for crap in cold weather. My 2021 Ranger was the same way. Dealer recommended 87 non ethanol - they had an explanation as to why but forget what it was. Once I stuck with that I’ve had no issues.
I’ve done both ways but the fronts are easier to adjust off the car and easy to remove. The worst is right rear due to exhaust in the way. Just jack it up so the tires are off the ground and go to town with the spanner wrench. Clean/lube the threads before you start.
I agree the stock ride is about as good as I’ve experienced in a stock utv. Unfortunately the springs start sagging pretty quickly and I got tired of adjusting ride height for it once a month.
I have the Polaris guards which are very well constructed, tough/heavy duty and seem to have good coverage. I have not looked at any aftermarket options since I put them on the first week I had the machine.
Anyone getting a new machine should install them before running down a rock road like I...
X2 for positive experience with Gilomen as JT noted. Running performance clutch and tune. Huge improvement in performance over stock. Have ran mine deep into the 70’s as well with 32” tires.
