The 10 seconds is to insure oil flow throughout the engine. Only time I’d give it a couple minutes would be in really cold weather.

I let all my vehicles warm up until the idle drops and the engine has a second to warm up. Depending on the temperature outside, this usually varies from 10 seconds to a minute. I always cringe when my wife jumps in her car, starts it up, and backs out before the idle has a chance to drop.

I'm in a warmer climate. I let mine run about 30 seconds and then I go taking it easy for the first few minutes. These engines warm up relatively fast.

I always let my machines warm up . Not so much for engine but cv belt . I have 4,000 miles on pro xp same cv belt . I ride like I stole it .

This sounds like my life - glad I'm not the only one.

You should also let it run for about 30 seconds after coming to a stop before shutting down. Especially important if you have another vehicle that has a turbo.

On shutdown I pretty much let it go a full fan cycle. Definitely a lot better for the engine.
