Hello everyone.

I recently got into UTV riding and realized my rig seriously lacks proper visibility on the trails. I keep second guessing lane positioning during group rides and feel unsafe merging onto wider gravel paths. I know side mirrors are practically essential, but the options are overwhelming.

Should I go with clamp on mirrors or ones that bolt directly into the roll cage? Does mirror size actually affect vibration and distortion at higher speeds?

Are convex mirrors better for trail riding versus flat mirrors for open terrain?

Would love to hear from experienced riders about what worked and what was a waste of money.

thanks in advance for any help

The problem with Polaris side mirrors is that if you crack one you have to buy a complete new set. You can’t just buy replacement glass.

Kemimoto has essentially the same looking mirrors on Amazon for a little less, but it’s the same deal.

For the Xpeditions, side mirror options are a little limited, but the best choices in my opinion are Sector 7 if you want them mounted to the doors. And Chupacabra for A-Pillar mount. The Sector 7s are considerably more expensive, while the Chupacabra mirrors are pretty close to the same price as the Polaris mirrors. And replacement glass is only like $8 each. The Chupacabra mirrors are also much easier to install than the Sector 7s.
