Polaris clutch kit

Just installed the DuraClutch kit (very easy to do) and it made a very big difference in the driving experience. If you have issue with the RPM's, jerking back/forth, and noise level, then buy this today! This takes care of many issues I've experienced with my XP5 and now I know why I bought this car!

Any worries with the Giloman kit voiding the warranty? I have a 5 year warranty and just got the machine 2 weeks ago.

I had my weights changed lost power is not worth it. I got my stock weights back. Looking for clutch kit and more power.

I’m running Gilomen tune and performance clutch and mine will rip. Would highly recommend them.

Had mine installed yesterday. i have to say i LOVE IT......i was at 4800 rpm at 25 mph, very comfortable as far as noise goes. I only ran it up and back to about 40 mph and i really didnt notice any difference in the power delivery. It allows you to actually use low gear again, which seems to be just as good as before, now this was just on average dirt roads, few climbs to check low speed. What everyone needs to keep in mind is these are not designed to be a replacement for a sport model (pro xp, etc). so you need to manage your expectations on power delivery. If your on the fence about getting it installed don't be, you wont regret it.
Just picked up my 2024 ADV5 NS two days ago. My primary use is viewing land with clients in comfort which is why I chose the NS. That said, the noise is excessive, especially in the back seat where clients can't hear the conversation. Based on your comments, sounds like the Comfort clutch is the way to go.

I used the Aftermarket Assassins cruiser clutch kit. You get more than just weights. He supplies springs and a helix so the kit is way better than what Polaris has in the "quiet kit". Plus you can change the weights down the road if you add bigger tires, carry more stuff, etc

I have the AA cruiser kit on mine and a 5 year warranty. If it was a a major clutch failure I can always put the stock stuff back in. They can't void the warranty on the whole machine just because of the clutch kit.
Some dealers are "mod" friendly, heck some do the mods for you. Ask your dealer if you are worried. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

Hello, all. looks like the last update was back in December on here. I am trying to decide which direction to Go to Quiet. My new XP North Star 2 door down and get better performance out of it. I noticed that the gilloman ECU tune with weight package seems to be pretty popular and I keep hearing about aftermarket assassins. I am also curious about speed works. After watching there video, it seems like a very capable clutch system. But I haven't heard anything good about it so far. I would love to get all of your feedback. And maybe we could do a poll on which clutch kit seems to do the best. Starting line products is here in Idaho Falls, where I am. I was told today that they are coming out with a new muffler, which they seem to think is the major cause of the cab noise pretty soon. And I do believe they have a clutch kit as well. aAnd if you don't mind, I'd love to hear your other theories that have worked for you guys on Getting it a little quieter and getting a little bit more performance. Thank you in advance from the new guy!

i have $500 worth of sound deadening and insulation- both sides of the rear firewall, the headliner as well as floor mats. Helped keep the heat out more than it helped with sound deadening. Installed 34" tires which dropped rpm as did the AA cruiser clutch kit.
It's tolerable now but still not anywhere near as quiet as my son in law's Defender
From what I have saw comparing the 900cc in my Ranger to the Expedition's engine is the valve train is WAY louder in the new engine. I think you would need some kind of engine blanket to quieten it down. Exhaust is only slightly louder so I think a different muffler is probably a waste of money unless you just want to change the tone.

Thank you for that information. I think you may have a valid point with the valve train or engine noise itself. What type of sound deadening did you use on yours and what type was it that you used on the back side of the firewall towards the engine? And what is the difference between the cruiser clutch from aftermarket Assassins versus their other clutching? Thank you.

The aftermarket assassins cruiser clutch kit has large weights which keeps the rpm lower than stock. The Polaris quad clutch does the same thing as do others from Giloman The aftermarket assassin's kit also comes with new springs and a new helix so you get some other added benefits as well such as more belt grip. I'll find a link to the post I made about what I use for sound deadening and posted up here after a while

I'm running the Giloman clutch kit with the ECU tune. Very happy with the set up. I got it for performance more than for noise because I'm running 35" tires. I also have Rugged Radio headsets, so the noise isn't a big deal. On my past machines I ran AA kits. I would of went with the AA this time but got a better deal on the Giloman set up. All the aftermarket kits are good. It's just a matter of what you want to buy.

This is what I used for sound deadening:
I covered the outside of the rear firewall with Thermotec 13590. Covered the inner firewall behind the rear seat with Siless 4mm sound deadening foam. Made floor mats out of 1/2" exercise mats. Insulated between the roof and headliner with Siless as well. Insulated the top side of the coolant lines with Siless stuck to Thermotec. Insulated the inside walls of the tunnel with Thermotec 13590

Anything you do that lowers rpms will cut the performance of the machine. For some people, this doesn’t matter, so I’m just putting it out there again.

The biggest drops in noise levels we’ve been able to achieve is with sound dampening and insulation. I’ve done several posts here on this forum of my methods and the results. All of them have been while raising the RPM from the factory 7800 to around 8400-8600 rpm.

On clutch kits, we primarily use Aftermarket Assassins. They have more options for internal parts than the others offer, like their Buttershift Washers, High Load Helix, Billet Primary Cover Plate and upgraded Secondary Rollers. In my opinion, clutch kits are worth doing, whether you’re looking for more performance or lower rpm. They can increase both the belt and clutch life.

On a “quiet” muffler, the noise reduction will be minimal from OEM, but every little bit helps.
