Many many issues

Hello all, I’d like to start by saying I came from a 2017 ranger 1000 and then a general 1000 premium after that and had 0 issues with either machine even after much abuse. I wish I could say the same about my Northstar Xpedition. I have had it for 6 months or so now and am well post break in period and the issues are getting out of control. I feel like the belt still isn’t broke in it “coasts” to a stop by about throwing you through the front windshield multiple times especially at lower speeds. The grinding noise from the driveshaft is enough to make you cringe and question if you need to turn around and go home at ~5,000 RPM. The rear end clank on initial launch is enough to get everyone within 100 yards to stare at you. The “heat” is just lukewarm air and on top of that the “sealed” cab is far from just that. It takes multiple tries to keep it running upon turning over when it’s below 30 degrees. The brakes are very under powered and mine have been making a terrible squeal lately. It seems I have been blessed with every single common problem these machines have. Complete junk for $45,000

Hello @Jsouthall35 welcome to the site. Very sorry to hear about all the problems you've had. Have you thought about taking it to a different dealership? Might have more luck?

Don't sweat it all of that is normal for the Xpedition with the exception of the heater. I can cook an egg in mine on the lowest setting.

I'm laughing with you not at you. My machine has spent more time at the dealership than in my garage. I feel your pain. Oh and it has to go back for a new rear camera.

Somehow I still love it.

I feel for you but i have 2800 miles on mine no issues at all no vibrations brakes are adequate for what it is heater runs you out air conditioning will freeze your butt off, we mostly run at 8000 ft or better with no problems love the machine.

It seems PATHETIC for the price for sure, and I've had all the same problems you mentioned and THEN some !!!! but somehow I wouldn't trade it for any other car !! ( see reply to BB's post !).

I’ve had minimal issues thus far, I’m just over 700 miles, just got back from spending 5 days in West Virginia and I rode every single day and all day. The heater does work and kept me warm but it was only 24 degrees not negative something! My dealer made me sign a paper that stated yes it’s a sealed cab it’s not however hermetically sealed, with that it’s exceeded my expectations. Hope you can get these issues resolved so you can enjoy your machine.
