Hey Y'all - Would you 2 door or 4 door

I live in western Colorado and a two-seater will go anywhere you want to go. If you do actual rock crawling like the hard stuff in Moab is when the shorter machine will struggle due to wheelbase. Buy the two-seater and enjoy.

if you do end up with the five-seater and plan on pulling long distances i sure recommend a two-axle trailer. Not a have to have but makes pulling these heavy machines easer on everything including yourself and the wife
I totally agree, the dual axle trailer is MUCH better to tow !!!

I agree, but finding a dual axle 12' light weight trailer is not easy. Aluma suggests a 12' single axle with electric brakes. It's carrying capacity would be 2,900 lbs, about 400 lbs under the Xpedition ADV 2's curb weight. That trailer with the UTV would be around 3,200 lbs. 300 lbs under the Jeeps towing capacity.

Update: For a bunch of reasons, I put a deposit on a 2025 Super Graphite Xpedition XP5 Northstar. The biggest reasons are that the DW said she prefers to be able to carry more junk and her sister if she shows up. And since most of her towing miles will be highway, she doesn't mind towing the longer trailer.

Thanks for the advise! I look forward to meeting you on the trails!!!

I came from a 2 seat General Trailhead Edition to the XP5 Northstar. I will be honest; I do miss the nimbleness of my 2 seater, but to have the extra space in the 5 seater (let's be honest, really 4 seater) is nice, especially when we have a plus 1 or 2 that want to come along. It all boils down to what you need. I also went from a JL Jeep to a JT Gladiator and can now tow 7K, which is great for me. Maybe do an upgrade from your JK to a JT? If you're into the Jeep thing like I am, it's a good choice....and the JTs are deeply discounted now....decisions, decisions.....lol.
