This may be long but bear with me.
First, got called to the farm only to find my Ranger on its side in the lane way. Someone tried to steal it and crashed before they got out of my driveway.
Drove the Xpedition down to get the tractor to lift it back on its wheels and did so.
Went back to the Xpedition and it won’t start. Ranger is already on the trailer so off to the dealer I go for repairs. (Three hour round trip).
Next I get back and haul the Xpedition to same dealer only to find the starter locked up. Replaced.
Get home and load up the wife to go for a spin and 300 yards down the road bad noise and engine dies.
Load it up again and return to dealer for inspection.
Turns out the end of the crankshaft sheared off right behind the clutch. Dealer spoke to Polaris and they told him that there has been a few instances where this has happened. He is trying to get them to warranty the parts, machine is out of warranty, but we’ll see.
Just thought I’d share and see if anyone else has had the same issue.
