Fire Extinguisher Mounts

Hi All,

Just a quick post to show my extinguisher mounts. Mainly wanted to ensure there was access, especially for the driver, in the event of entrapment. Was gonna do driver and passenger side but found underneath passenger seat is 100% full of gas tank so no go there. Went with rear of driver's seat instead.

Easy install - seat and battery have to come out but other than that lots of room to work with. Used large washers to support the plastic. This is the mount I went with:





I liked it mainly due to finish - you know cause looks are everything!!!

Went these with extinguishers for now (I know there are better ones):

Here is where I mount my fire extinguisher. It is out of the way and easily accessible to both the driver & Passenger

Man I like that! What did you mount it into - obviously the headliner isn't the only thing supporting it right?

If you remove the torque screws directly above the seats, you can fold the head linner down without damaging it and you'll expose a square steel support bar. Make sure you have a good carbide drill bit because its tough. After you line up your holes you'll drill directly through the bar, hold the head linner in place and gently punch through to the holes. I then used a hex head bolt with lock nuts on the both ends of the fire extinguisher support. Then replace the head linner.
I took it on a 6 hour ride to one of the mines here in Southern Arizona last week.And it's absolutely solid,feels like it's welded to the frame and looks really clean.
