It's not hard at all. I jacked the back up enough to stretch the suspension which helps give some working room.
Once you have the kit and instructions, just read everything and gather the tools needed and get a plan of attack. lol
The xpedition is a much better machine for all around than the Ranger. I hated the suicide doors on the Ranger. The dash layout and seating comfort is all better on the xpedition. It was just too loud because the RPM that it had to turn to even get going was horrible. Now with the clutch...
It's in the clutching. I changed the weights and spring in the primary clutch to the Giloman and it brought the RPM down to reality. I can cruise at 30 mph now at around 4000-4500. It's not quite as quick when you go full throttle because it holds the RPM down to 6000 until it gets up to...
I installed the Gilomen quiet clutch kit and I am super happy now. It might be a tad slower at full throttle but at part throttle it gets up to speed easier without screaming the motor and therefore cruising around is night and day difference. I didn't buy this thing for drag racing. lol...
I'm in south Texas and usually the further south you go, the possibility of having higher ethanol content in the gas is higher here than up north.
I agree that if the content is too high and the motor isn't tuned for it, then it could be a problem. I have been running 93 in all my toys for as...
Absolutely false information. Ethanol is way cleaner and burns cooler and has way higher octane than gasoline. What you got was some bad gasoline.
I have switched every vehicle that can be switched, to E85. and tuned for it. With a turbo or supercharger along with correct tuning, E85 can...
I was driving through some soft ground that was a little muddy and so for the first time since I've had my xpedition, I put it in 4wd. As soon as I did, I heard and felt a growling sound.
As soon as I took it out of 4wd, the sound and feeling went away. I turned it back on and it came right...
Where I first saw these was on a Nilgai hunt in a high rise and we were in some rough terrain and the guns never moved.
At first I wasn't sure how to mount it in this xpedition with such limited space. But I love how this turned out. and its very accessible.
Yeah, definitely not cheap. But I wanted something that I could ride however extreme I wanted without the worry of my gun coming out.
I have had all the other options and they're not even close to holding like this does. Well worth the money for safety. IMO
Yes rivet nuts are definitely an option. I had to buy some extra parts and I also bought a set up for my tractor at the same time so I really don't remember exactly.
It's not cheap, but well worth it IMO. I want to say $500 but I could be wrong.
I did not. I just made sure that I didn't drill deep. Then I used some of the good screws that are made for plastic. It's actually the same screws that are used in other places on this machine.
Hi stakes outdoors. It's the Texas holdem.
I talked to the owner and he didn't offer anything for the xpedition. But since I had the ability to do some fab work, he was willing to make an exception and sold me some extra parts so that I could make it work.
Definitely not my first Polaris, but this is by far the loudest. It is the second one that has had a cab. My ranger was no where near as loud, although the cab was nowhere near as nice. I really like the layout in the xpedition. But for what this rig cost, I think Polaris could have spent a...
I pulled the belly pan on my 2 seater and looked up in the tunnel where the shifter is and it's wide open. I was very disappointed in the fact that driving around the whole center console would get extremely hot, including the cup holders. So I added some material from Eastwood that is made...
I am going to work with the best gun rack system that I've ever seen and that's the Texas Holdem gun rack. They don't have a specific mounting solution for the xpedition yet but I am going to see if I can come up with that.
Thank you. I got the machine home late yesterday and had a chance to drive it a little.
First impressions; The ride is amazing compared to my ranger, the visibility is terrible as it needs mirrors, BAD. The engine noise coming from behind the seat area is terrible. It needs more...
I just purchased a hunt edition xpedition 2 door full cab. I wonder if anyone has seen anything available to mount a gun rack inside the cab? I love the Texas holdem gun racks but I'm not sure on the mounting options inside the cab.
