It’s located under the front driver wheel well against the firewall. I can grab some pics and share if you need them for reference. The one I replaced it with I included in the link above message. It’s the Amazon link.
Hope this helps!
I’ve not had any rubbing. I’ve messed with my different fox shock settings, rode over all kinds of rocky terrain. Coming up on 1000 miles and I can only recall 3 times I’ve rubbed and it was not on common obstacles or trails. Psi is also at 14 on all 4.
Hope this helps.
Just bought this one off amazon. No issues with it since! I bought one “just in case” and needed it within the first 50 miles on the odometer. My advice- replace it at home in a controlled environment, never know where it might go out on you!

I’ve used mine to keep the rig locked in place on trailer for days and not had an issue yet. But I also replaced the stock brake pressure switch on my first ride out (before I installed parking brake) because the stock switch was bad from factory. They have a terrible history with these...
My dealer had me go back to the August 23’ and try the may 23 update first. I think the May 23 is the one that I had my luck fixing the location service.
Save yourself the time and replace the the brake sensor with a non Polaris branded part. They’re cheap and will save you a headache in the back country when you go into limp mode! They’ve had issues for years. My first trip out to Moab, I didn’t make it 100 yds and it went out.
I also...
I just finished installing mine. I put the bulletpoint mounts on it. Works great. I have 2 cellphones and a 2way radio mount on mine. I also installed a power source with usb type c. I also purchased 2 short power cords to keep it as clean as possible. I can grab some pics and share if...
They have been amazing. I’m on my 3rd set of tusk tires. This is my first set of 33”. Durable, strong, amazing traction on hard and slick rock terrain. Sand not as great, but I’ve not been stuck yet either.
I do get a very slight rub on the xpedition when descending and or turning sharp...
It helped with the gearing for sure. I also aired the tires down to about 8psi which is about a 32” tire. I’ve had no issues with power, and I’ve been able to hit 60mph, granted I’m sure not nearly as quick as others could, but compared to my ranger, this thing kills it.
Greetings!
I seem to have developed a squeak that I can't seem to locate. More curious if this is a "me" issue, or if others have experienced this as well.
This squeak seems to only happen when I first get in the machine and drive it. It happens for a couple minutes then vanishes. It sounds...
I've used just about every option out there for tie downs. I had similar issues with finding strapping points, and I used to have to crank them down so tight to keep it from rolling back n forth that eventually, the front bumper hook for the winch started to give a little, as well as the chain...
I opted for the extended warranty and it really all came down to one reason. With the xpedition being a brand new model, no history on what issues, they will need to correct over time, it was a no brainer for me. Not sure what your dealership charges for labor hours, but I believe mine is $135...
I can only assume they did. I had dealer put them on before I left dealership with it. I never drove the machine with the stock tires. I also didn't drive it before they put the comfort clutch on it.
My 21’ Ranger had same issue. Anytime it rained or snowed it would collect there and as soon as I drove it, the water would poor inside the cab. It was horrible.
My dealer called me today. Told me Polaris sent a bulletin to update the software to the May 23 update, then check gps functionality and satellite status. See attached
However, when I went to download the software, there was now a March 2024 update. I installed this one first to see if it...
Only the rear bolt ins. I opted to get the ones that covered the drains as there seems to be a lot of noise and dust that come from those 4 locations in the cab.
The rear set came with two spacers and 6-8 washers total. Super easy and should help keep it from sliding around.
I bought these for my xp5. As easy of an install as you can imagine with it being floor mats. They do cover almost the entire floor, and they do look good. I don’t know if it cuts down on sound or dust yet as I’ve not been on a ride. I will try to update once I’ve used them.
I definitely want to disconnect/ remove front sway bars. I won’t do this until I get some limit straps first.
I’m also considering upgrading the springs to a shock therapy setup. Don’t get me wrong, the stock springs have been great, but I’ve heard from numerous riders, shock therapy setup...
Day 3
This week was our final day of the trip. We had planned to hit “Top of the World” and if we had time “Dome Plateau.” However when we left Moab, there was a marathon on the highway which blocked access. So we decided to hit “Poison Spyder.”
This trail really tested the durability of the...
Day 2
We headed south of Moab to a trail known as “Behind The Rocks”. According to the book, this trail is rated very difficult. We had 4 families in the group and none of us had ever been on it, so we were all excited to tackle or at least attempt the obstacles on this trail.
It had rained...
Day 1,
I unloaded and headed toward the trail. Having less time than 10 miles on the machine, I really had no idea how it would handle. Unfortunately I didn’t make it 500 yards before it went into limp mode. The ride command flashed “ Release Brake.” I had installed a parking brake I...
Mine did the same thing! Talked to the dealer and was told to check connections, but the entire ride command unit may need replaced. I’ll take it in this week and see what they come up with.
Thanks! I love the look of your rig, and I hope at some point I can add the long arm kit.
I bought it on Amazon, link below. The battery is under the driver seat and it only takes two bolts to remove the seat, then a cover to access it. It’s not horrible, but I expect I’d get frustrated in...
Greetings!
I’ve just returned from my Moab trip. I had shared in an earlier post I would share my experience. I will update this thread as I start to get through pics and videos of the trip. I’ll answer any questions that I can!
Overall, this machine exceeded my expectations in almost every...
Congrats on the new rig! I just picked my XP5 in Army green up on Friday. Throwing a bunch of stuff on it over the next week and I will share with the group soon! 15% ceramic window tint was put on today...
Greetings from Nw Colorado!
I’ve been following for a while now but just recently joined. I’ve been hesitant to pull the trigger because of the noise factor. My dealer called me the day they released the clutch fix, and I ordered same day.
The unit arrived last week and the final few...
Has anyone installed the rigid front bumper lights? I found the same series online for cheaper then Polaris sells the set up, but it does not include the mounting hardware.
Are the lights worth the $500? I’ve not had any luck finding anyone with them yet.
Thanks in advance!
Has anyone played around with limiter straps? Looking to remove the sway bar as soon as I take delivery of my XP5 next week. Headed to Moab in a month, would love to test the limits of this rig.
Thanks!
