Just for a PSA, running a constant rpm for long periods will cause premature wear to the clutches. Usually it will wear a groove in the sheaves, and in one case, I’ve seen it wear notches in the clutch weights.
Stock, the Xpedition motor is governed around 7800 rpm. Most ECM tunes will open it...
Depending on where in Southern California, we have people running down to LA and San Diego areas a couple times a week. If you’re near their routes and could meet them, there’d be no shipping cost.
Also, we have 2 full sets of takeoff tires and wheels for sale, if you’re looking for just the stock ones. One set has 50 miles on them the other has around 200 miles on them.
Probably the best wear tires I’ve ever used were the BF Goodrich KM3s. I had 3000 miles on them when I took them off my general and put them on my new Xpedition. And then put another 1000 miles on them. The majority of those miles were rocky desert trails. They still had plenty of life left when...
I just carry a plug kit with lots of extra plugs. Never bothered with sealant like Slime etc.
There’s also a product called GlueTread that can do external sidewall patches. We have some but haven’t had the need to use them yet, so not certain how well they work.
Ah missed a couple of the upgrades 😂
Lights on the roof are scene lights. They’ve come in handy quite a few times.
The bumper is the HD bumper offered by Polaris. It’s pretty heavy and definitely heavy duty. It allows for the upgrade to a 6,000# winch, but I just kept the stock 4,500# winch.
Thank you 😊
It’s the Rigid 50” curved light bar on top. It sits just far enough back that there isn’t any glare on the windshield. If you do much night riding it’s well worth having. There’s also 2 GG Lighting GP20 amber pods in the bumper for when I’m night riding in someone’s dust.
Some of...
I’ve found OnX off-road maps to be very helpful for planning out trips. It shows restrictions as well as private v public lands etc.
When it comes to enforcement, it always comes down to the individual doing the enforcing. We’ve dealt with more than a few “Revenue Generation Officers” who...
From the very start of getting my Xpedition, just over a year ago, I put 4/3 offset wheels with 1” adapters, which put my overall width at 72” I ran that setup for around 1500 miles.
Since then I’ve put another 600 miles with Packard Performance 3.5/3.5 offset wheels that put the overall width...
1200 miles in on my Xpedition XP5 and I’m finally getting around to re-springing and shock work. It’s always been known that Polaris springs tend to “sag in”, but a new problem seems to be Fox’s fault rather than Polaris.
We’re finding that shock nitrogen pressure is all over the place, both...
This is what we got for a parking brake.

It’s not required for street legal in Utah but it comes in handy quite often.

They are universal across Polaris. I originally used one we’d bought for a General on my Xpedition.
Also, if you do an ECM tune, Gilomen and Aftermarket Assassins just remove the seat belt limiter that way.
The power loss is relative to your driving style. If all you do is trails and basic cruising, you’ll likely never notice a difference. The Prostar II motor is designed for performance at high rpm, so if you normally run full out, throttle to the floor style, then you’ll notice some power loss...
I could be wrong but I don’t think a bed mat in the XP would really make a noticeable noise difference. On the ADV, yes! Simply because the bed is inside the cab. We’ve made floor mats for the XP and ADV out of BedRug material. By the decibel meter, they don’t really help with noise, but they do...
Closer to 3:1 on the front.
We’ve also found some pretty significant differences between XP and ADV springs. My guess is they have different spring rates. Moreso on the orange ADV than the others.
Of the machines I’ve adjusted so far, The gray XP Ultimate has always taken the most preload to...
My guess would be the shifter linkage adjustment on the transmission. I’m assuming it only pops out of high range, which would mean the shifter is hitting the stops in the shifter tower before it’s fully seated in high.
The transmission side has 2 nuts holding the cable to the transmission. You...
We were pulling camp trailers out and back with our Xpeditions so we used a little more fuel than typical, but an extra 5 gallons of gas would get you to Whitmore and back fairly easily with just the Xpedition. The trip straight to Whitmore and back is only around 150 miles.
We each carried...

This might be what you’re looking for. Description says it includes profiled tube clamps for Polaris
Howdy and welcome to the forum 👋
The Xpedition is definitely going to be a lot louder than your Ranger and just a little louder than the General. It is a high performance motor so to me it’s expected.
My only real complaint has been their quality control. My own XP5 has had relatively few...
Just curious, were you running it in comfort mode?
Comfort mode reduces throttle response, lowers engine power and limits the top rpm.
Standard mode allows normal throttle response, full power and rpm
Sport increases throttle response with full power and rpm.
This was north side of the Grand Canyon. Left from St. George Utah and headed down.
One of the spots is called Whitmore overlook, south of the Bar 10 Ranch. The others, we just chased trails around the canyon further southwest towards Parashant.
