DRT rear bumper

Hello. We have a XP Ultimate and Wondering if anyone purchased a rear bumper from DRT? We installed it but the brackets don't connect to the bed of it. There's no where to attach the brackets. Wonder if it's because it has a dump bed? Thanks
 
Ah I see what you mean. The video isn’t really clear on those. The driver side appears to bolt to the outer hinge plate but it doesn’t show what he’s bolting to on the passenger side. You might try calling them and asking for some clarification.
 
I put one on my Northstar and found it to be a tad bit of a challenge. It did not mention removing and discarding the drip edge under the bed. Then had to cut out a chunk of the heat shield to get to one of the mounting holes. But all in all it went on, looks bad azz, and the lights are great. Would recommend it. Versus ... nothing but plastic!

I agree. This screen capture shows two brackets, which the video says bolt the bumper to. One is above the installers hand with two holes in it, the other to the outboard of the red wire shown on the drivers side.

On my Xpedition XP5 these brackets do not exist; nor are they shown in the service manual on the cargo box frame exploded views.
Will love to hear what DRT has to say.

Mmmmm. We called the manufacturer. They said we were missing two brackets! What? Still don't know how the new brackets could help? Theres just dead space. Did yours have 4 brackets? W e told them it doesn't make sense. We'll see. Otherwise I like the Look of it. But no strength w/o brackets. Thanks!
 
Wonder if Polaris made a late design change to remove the brackets? The Polaris "bumper" attaches a whole different way.
Well sad part is, I won't be buying the bumper! I do like it.

We'll post what happens with the new brackets. Again, we do like the look tho.
Husband said to buy the Polaris one then you know it will fit.
 
Update to original post. We just rcvd the two small brackets! DRT had to make them . We ran out and did a dry fit and they look like they will work! We're shocked! Didn't think possible. We're hunting now so will update after installed. Like we said we like the look of the bumper. Fueled UTV was on the stick! Impressed with both places. Thanks

The guys at fueled are rock stars. Always willing to help. If I need something I always try to buy from them. They are all enthusiasts and enjoy it as much as we do.

Finally did final install! THE BRACKETS WORKED! We are so happy . Bumper is very nice and sturdy. Thanks everyone. Love this forum.
