When you say boondock do you mean primitive camping ? Or developed campsites . I have been fishing and camping that whole side of the White Mountains sincew I was born .I was suprised to see this video as I own a cabin in Alpine . We bought our expedition specifically for leaving up at the cabin . But will bring it back to Tucson in the winter to do desert riding .Where's a good place to boondock out there?
The East Fork of the Black River is a great place to camp . There are a half dozen or so campgrounds along the 7 or so miles where forest road 276 follows along it . They have out houses and 500 gal water tanks of drinkable water to fill jugs . Take forest road 249 out of Alpine to the west till you get to forest road 276 . Roughly 6 miles . Go left on the 276 to the east fork . Aspen campground is one of our favorites . You can trout fish there also .Primitive or developed. Just not a full hook up Campground.
