Found quite a few of these in a spot I ride often, very often. More so wanting to confirm it's not something that may have come from my Xpedition or four wheeler. Don't think they did, cause both machines are still running, but ya never know. Any ideas?

They look like nuts from studs on a snowmobile track. Is there snow by you?
Often you lose the nuts from the track spinning so fast. I had this happen to my snowmobile.

Yes there was snow however, they aren't threaded. I found quite a few of them and they were kind of scattered in a line in two different location. I would have definitely seen them prior to the snow so it kind of makes sense that they may have came off something while the snow was still there then when it melted I noticed them. Also, snow was around for while so I would've seen snowmobile tracks.

Maybe something like this? Did a Google search for "hex head torx bolt" this came up. Your photo looks like what the head of bolt pulled off would look.

It looks like the head of a bolt that was designed for the head to shear at a preset torque spec. I don’t know anything about snowmobiles to know the application on them, but it looks similar to this the way it sheared. The one in the picture doesn’t have the torx center, but would show a rotational force caused it to shear like the one you found.

You guys are definitely on to something for sure. Now I just have to figure out how they got there.

Good find VA!
