UP Michigan Trip

Just got back from a great trip backpacking thru the western UP of Michigan on our ADV5. Put on 570 miles on in 7 days of riding. The ADV was everything I hoped for and handled better than I expected for being loaded with gear etc.

Nice! You weren't too far from where I live in L'Anse. I still haven't purchased an xpedition due to terrible resale conditions for my rzr, but we've still been riding alot recently. Hope you enjoyed your visit.

We're hoping to be in your area soon for a SxS trip. We have friends in L'Anse and hope to base camp out of there, traveling each way to Copper Harbor and down towards Iron River. Still in the process of figuring out fuel, meal and lodging stops, as well as which specific trails to take.

Sorry for the slow reply. Did you already come to lanse? If you have friends here who know the local trails, they should be able to hook you up with the things you need. Some of the best rides here are only known by the locals. Fall colors will be here in 3-4 weeks

Our friends there are not riders, but we've gotten more info since I posted, including some trail maps of the area. So we pretty well have a game plan at this point.
