Been driving my new Xpedition 2 weeks now. Love everything but the noise! Big fail by Polaris engineers. Anyone tried the Speedwerx clutch? It it better than the Polaris clutch fix?? Buyers remorse may be setting it...........................

I have the Speedwerk kit, I wouldn’t waste money on it. I’ve had to change all kinds of stuff and it’s still not good. It’ll lower rpm and noise, but the performance suffers big time. I’ve had mine apart 5-6 times making suggested changes, total PITA. Buy something that’s plug and play, the SW kit isn’t.

I went with AA for my clutch. Don't know how much better the noise is, its a little better but nowhere near where it should be !! Your right it is horrible. Alot of people have spent alot of money on sound proofing with EXPENSIVE materials with not much success from what I have gathered. The clutching is a good start, but I don't think your gonna get much better than that. Just my humble opinion !!!

We’ve actually been clutching and tuning for higher rpm, and then doing full insulation. Even with the higher rpm we’re able to drop the noise level 5-7db from stock.
Most of the material I use isn’t particularly expensive and some is super cheap. It was a little time consuming at first but after doing it to 11 5 seat Xpeditions I can do the full insulation job in about 8 hours.

Most of the material used is just polyfil from $4 Walmart pillows. Then a piece of aluminum backed fiberglass to block off the hole under the console, some foil backed foam insulation on the lower outside firewall and the expensive stuff is membrane sound mat on the upper inside firewall.

If I remember to take pictures on this next job, I’ll post them.

I have insolated mine and it helped. I tried the factory low rpm clutch weights (they are horrible). Yesterday I installed the Giloman Innovations complete kit with ECU. Although it has higher RPM than stock, it is much smoother and quieter running. The difference is verry noticeable.

Do you have any pictures of where and what insulation you installed?

Do you know what stock db level is?

95db-98db stock. ADVs are slightly louder than XPs.
This clip is an XP Northstar after doing a performance ECU Tune and performance clutch kit, but before I did the insulation.

And this is after insulation…

If you buy the Duraclutch kit you will have no Buyers remorse.

Just a side note on my clips…
The first one, we were doing clutch tuning. So that was full throttle from a rolling 5mph start.
The second clip was running the same specifically to get as true a reading as possible after the insulation.
The speeds the clips show weren’t important in context. Cruising at 45 mph would be considerably lower decibels.
