I'm interested to know if the new Polaris XPEDITION suspension is set up like the Ranger or if is it more sporty like the General. I assume it's basically a Ranger chassis combined with the sportier suspension of the General, or is it something in between?

I think I just answered my own question. I found the suspension specs for the XPEDITION ADV and it definitely looks more sporty than what you with the Ranger.

Just got my Xpedition XP 5 Ultimate 3 days ago. These are a great mix of features from the Ranger and General, but the machine itself is a whole different beast.

My previous machine was a 2019 General 4 1000 on which Iā€™d had custom tuned and springed shocks, among a lot of other mods. This Xpedition rides far better straight from the dealer than the General did with $4k into the suspension.

As for the frame, it looks beefier all the way around than the Rangers. Much more testing to be done but Iā€™m super impressed with these things so far.

That's great to hear! We are glad you found us and welcome to the forum! We would love to see some photos of your new Xpedition XP5 when you get a chance to share them. šŸ˜Š

The suspension on the Xpedition compared to my friends 2019 RZR XP 1000 is very close. You can tell that the Xpedition is a heavy machine. However, I did not try hitting big obstacles at high speed. I believe that the RZR XP 1000 would have a advantage in those situations. The Xpedition is a big improvement over my 21 Ranger Ultimate even with after market shocks and 2" forward A Arms

This is all incredible early feedback. The Fox QS3s must be valved much better than the walkers on the generals because the suspension isnt all that different. After valving the walkers, I've been happy with the General XP. Also great to hear that the massive weight of the Xpedition isnt harming its ride quality. It's still wild to think this thing weighs over 1000 lbs more than a general XP4.

Keep the feedback coming

I was told the frame is an all new platform. I don't know if the front A-arms fit on anything else but the rear Suspension on the Xpedition has A arms and a RZR XP 1000 has trailing arms not A-arms which is entirely different.

My Xpedition is the best riding machine from the factory that I have bought which include a 900 RZR xp, 1000 RZR XP, 1000 Turbo RZR XP, & a 1000 RZR PRO. The Suspension on the Xpedition is good compared to the others.

Wow, that's great to hear. Especially, considering how much it weighs. Welcome to the forum!

I took mine across some fast wash bound sections higher speed rocky I Lane trails with quick back and forth changes, bottomed out suspension, bang some big rock on tires. Higher speed up hills low and high down steep down ,, WOOOW She rocked it all ,,, not so much on fast large washes the razors do better the faster you.go .. crawled some slow spots in L gear and was a tank.. She is just to long for tight crawling areas...

Its the spiral bore technology that makes the ride so much better. You get the comfort of a bypass shock
