Comparison

The can-am defender rides pretty much the same as the Polaris Ranger, and both are designed for utility use. Neither has particularly comfortable seating, unless you prefer bench seats to bucket seats. To me, the seats in the Xpedition are perfectly comfortable.
Then there’s the suspension. The Xpedition rides better than any other factory A-arm suspension on any brand of SxS, without a doubt. It’s leagues better than the Defenders/Rangers, Generals/ Commanders, etc. While I haven’t driven the Ridge, just sitting in it was reminiscent of the ‘18 Rangers, which is to say, uncomfortable.

The Xpedition also has better overall performance than the Rangers/Defenders. The one thing those machines have over the Xpedition is that they’re quieter.

JT hit the nail on the head. In stock form the Xpedition can't be beat on ride by any other utility sxs. My main complaints with the Xpedition was the noise, the heat in the cab and way too tippy in stock form- which the SATV long travel kit took care of.
I am about ready for a new Ranger for the farm, waiting to see what Polaris introduces in a few days. If they will stick the cab from the 1500 on a 1000 I will go that route. I see the 1500 as being expensive down the road to repair compared to a CVT

Yep, I’m waiting to see tomorrow what they are introducing. If not enough to go with a 2026, I will be looking to get a 2025 with some rebates hopefully.
