I feel I have to add that the air compressor also feeds the Bag Jack, that will lift the whole side of the ADV in about 2 minutes for a tire change. Much lighter to pack than a big steel floor Jack! Amazon, $135. Can be used off exhaust pipe, but I haven’t tried that.
Fantastic so far! No rubbing at all, I’m up in Drummond Island, MI for 3 days and it’s all rock and mud, I love the tires…they seem to grip well, and if you put those Fox shocks in “marshmallow “ position it’s a pretty smooth ride.
Dealership today agreed to install Polaris Quiet Clutch Kit Xsa-24-01 for free, said Polaris recognized the issue and it should be available to all…if you ask. They didn’t bother to tell me…we will see what it does.
The Ranger comes with a plug & play harness for backup light under the bed, I'm pissed that they skimped on that little detail for what we pay for these rigs....boooo Polaris
I had a custom rack fabbed out of aluminum to hold a spare tire, mounted two 6” Nilight (Amazon) spot/flood lights on that, Amazon also has wiring harness including Polaris connector, relay and lighted switches.. PIA, dash pulled out, roof liner out, had to extend wiring harness, chase up the A...
33” fits fine! No rubbing on full turn, adds 1.5” of height. I’m an old guy, so I’m not jumping any sand dunes, could take some clearance off of travel, but absolutely nothing noticeable so far.
I couldn't handle the thought of having 1 spare tire to only fit 2 wheels....so I got 5 33"x10"-!5 Terrabites and one new wheel, you can find them on Ebay for about $200 for the wheel, tires were $205 each thru Amazon. Problem solved, just throw more $$ at it.
Ok, GMRS is like 25 preset channels , but it is UHF. Any HAM radio can tune to that specific channel, and it’s all safe to use without a HAM license…which would allow you about a million other frequencies but not everyone has that license. Thanks again!!!!
Our off road groups have shifted from CB to HAM Baofeng radios, in a full size truck we usually need an exterior antenna to get the signal out of the steel cab. Better range, less disturbance, more channels to pick from. Does the handheld Baofeng get out of the EXP ok? I have to test, but I...
John, how did you run wiring up to the light? No A pillar covers to hide behind, and trying to figure out how to get the leads from inside to outside on roof, or did you just run it all outside? TIA for any info!

Oops… all good points, I would rather supply my own tools also… but still a tire iron might be nice to include. Anybody figured a way to jump start the vehicle without removing the front drivers seat to access battery?
Maybe two leads with a cutoff switch between?
My door locks are bad too, will try silicone!
This is by far the lamest tool set I’ve ever seen in a vehicle of this caliber.
No way to remove a tire, 19mm isn’t in there. No jack to help with a tire. One wrench, 8mm & 10 mm. A pair of pliers, really? And the handles give you barely a...
Rigid boxes from Home Depot lock together, Craftsman box holds a Scuba tank with 3500lbs of air pressure. Only one strap to hold in all in, looking for Unistrut fittings for more goodies.
Added Tusk Terrabite 33x10-15 tires today on my Adv5 Northstar, no rubbing at all so far, lifted my rig 1.5” to 15.5”, very happy with them (until I try a mud hole or sand dune)
My Xpedition 5 has pretty lousy brakes, but I usually attribute that to the high water levels in my area in springtime, they are always wet. I’ll pay attention to drier conditions to evaluate further.
Nice that you can license it! In Michigan I’d have to add side mirrors (have them, much needed), turn signals, DOT tires, and a parking brake… why, I don’t know.🤬
Add a strong ratchet strap, that and an air compressor ( I carry a scuba tank, 3500 lbs of air) fixed the bead problem. Winch lifted the front wheels off the ground to a tree, ratchet strap around tire will spread the bead to the edges. I’ve added a Jack to my kit
