I did a blinker flood light combo, posted this on another thing but the interior is a flood light. I’m happy, it’s not overly bright but that’s what the 50 inch light bar is for!
I just had that same issue I believe the got it fixed and clutch repaired… Polaris wouldn’t replace it. and now there’s a problem with the rev limiter as well! 2100 miles, mainly roads so that might have some additional wear due to highway speeds.
It’s been good to me coming up on a year of ownership, wisconsin and Minnesotas have a lot of discounts going right now 2500-3k$ off, I’m guessing 25’s are coming out soon, keep an eye out for a little price break but once you get that AC and stereo going in Arizona you won’t look back!
I understand that, I guess I was curious if there’s more than one person doing this, usually somebody posts a YouTube video describing or promoting it or comparing it but basically there’s one short clip on here, and I’m only seeing one maybe two people that have it installed. Not a huge deal
Definitely a pressure switch issue. Has the same thing with mine too. Before I replaced it I would pump the brakes a few times before starting and it did seem to work when I did that.
If I were buying one I would search out a deal on a 2024. My guess is they will change very little if anything but that clutching. Right now I’m seeing Northstar marked down 2-3k off msrp in Wisconsin. The noise level does seem loud but it really doesn’t bother me, I’ve spend a lot of hours...
Added the Dirty Teeth Racing Remote start kit. It’ll be best used in winter but the A/C should be nice and cold before heading out. It took about 25 mins to install, I didn’t remove dash just fished it through the open areas behind the center dash spot. It automatically kills the engine if...
So the easiest way to do it is to make a route on your cell phone app… then it will show up in the ride command on the unit.
I have an IPhone and a trick you have to do with your Bluetooth/hotspot, in the hotspot section you have to turn on or enable “maximize compatibility” and then it should...
Trailer size? What size trailer do you need for the xp5? Curious if it’ll squeeze onto a 12 foot trailer or not? I have a hd deckover one I use but might want something smaller in the future
Any further videos or reviews of this turbo kit? Seems intriguing I guess I’d like to see it next to a general or an Rzr to gauge take off and speed! Either way I’m sure it’s fun
I would wait they likely will come with the 25’s next month (that’s when they launched last year) and I’m seeing some markdowns on the new 24’s to the tune of 5,000$ off. Might be worth looking a little more online! That being said I had one of the first xp5’s (July 1) last year, I’ve had some...
I couldn’t find an intergrated headlight blinker kit so I opted to use a Corbin Blinker kit and modify it with Rigid SR-L Flush mount lights with amber backlight. The lights I have on a seperate switch for driving lights, and the amber turns on when I use the blinker switch.
I saw this video a couple weeks ago. Keep us posted, it would be great to know 0-30,0-60 time difference before and after as well. I opted not to get the Polaris weights switched because it didn’t really make a difference in sound after 40mph from what I could tell. My decibels on a phone app...
I was at my dealer, they swapped out a Northstar 2 seater clutch weights to the low rpm Polaris kit. We ran my XP5 Northstar in a little drag race, the crew cab kept right along with the 2 seater and I thought was slightly pulling away. I opted to keep mine with the orginal clutch weights...
I got the 50” rigid light bar (found same one on eBay for way less money) and the scene lights. Really happy with both, the light bar is extremely bright, and the scene lights are perfect for backing up mainly and both using camera and the side mirrors, gives you 360 degree light up around the...
Mine was originally good to go especially when I was plowing the first few weeks of truly cold weather , but now I’m only getting 105 degrees out of the vents…naturally I’m out of warranty!
Does anyone think if you modify the outlet hose to a larger size, match the inlet side of heater core? I feel like it’s a pinch point for that system… I don’t know much about these systems but thought I’d throw that idea out.
Keep me posted on your result please. I’m going to try to flush the heater core at some point, somebody I know with a ranger said they had the same issue once before
I was looking up some stuff online, could be a clogged heater core? Can anybody confirm that has a working heater that both the inlet and the outlet hoses are hot? Right now only my inlet seems to be hot which leads me to believe this could be the problem? Engine temps are running around 170-185...
I’m having a similar issue now. Last week it was fine so not sure what’s going on. I did add some antifreeze as it was a little below the line. I’m not very mechanically inclined so hopefully it’s just because it’s -20to-30 degree wind chills this week!
one of the biggest things I’ve noticed on looking through the videos is a note on suspension quality. Regardless of the “next new thing” the Xpedtion overall ride quality is as plush as I’ve experienced. Drove a ranger, rzr, mavericks and defenders before but I’ll take my xp5 all day for ride...
has anybody used this yet? Pictures? Review/Feedback. I’ve done a lot of deadening on the back of the XP5 but it still is pretty loud. I don’t have anything on the floor or behind the roofliner yet
When you dropped the skid plate did you have to remove all the bottom side panels as well? I was thinking of adding some that that window high pile brushes by that shifter knob too, it might slow down that air penetration.
I added sound deadening to the air intakes on either side and it definitely seemed to block so noise. in the Northstar there’s a bunch of gaps on the back wall that you can see straight daylight coming through. I spent some time sealing this up as well Which made slight difference. Ultimately...
I’ve put 250 miles on so far. I do absolutely love the comfort of the cab and ride, the higher end finish to the inside, and the HVAC is set up much more efficient than the 22’ Northstar I had. The downside of the unit is definitely the amount of noise… I’m surprised they haven’t done anything...
I too ordered 5/17 a Xp5 Northstar and it arrived 6/26, I was one of 3 allocated to my dealer, it was the only Northstar they had, and it sounded like all were shipped around the same week.
