32" tires don't make hardly any difference at all in gearing or the noise that it produces. For a truck for example that had a 3.55 rear end and you go from 30's to 32's the ratio changes to 3.33. If you do it for noise reduction then you need as tall of a tire that will fit.
32s for me were...
It should be wired directly to the battery. You can plug a charger in there or use it for a power source. I don't know what size fuse it has but look into that before you draw too much power from it.
The brakes on my Turbo R were bad at first, I don't notice it now. My Xpedition brakes don't feel so great either. After another hundred miles or so I think they will seat like the Turbo R did.
I take it you don't own one? Tons of heat coming from the center console. Have to add insulation to stop that. If you're talking about the full cab. It doesn't seal well at all plan on spending a long time sealing that up
if you think you're going to get a side-by-side from any manufacturer...
The tag on the steering wheel said download the free Polaris app and activate ride command plus today. I already have the app I don't see how to activate it. Figured it out so posted it here. First go to the Ride Command app and tap on your vehicle. Then select activate Ride Command +. Then...
I thought of that as well. Not sure. I tried it yesterday. Polaris didn't insulate them so I guess they figure heat doesn't matter.
Results are below of how insulating the lines did.
Tested the AC again after insulating the coolant lines. Outside temp was 95-99 vs 105 or so last trip...
Thanks for the info on the ferrules. I ordered the Max D-rings when I ordered the machine. They are one of the few things that came in. Still waiting on the roof rack and mount as well as spare axles, ball joints, and service manual.
Nope, north Texas up by Oklahoma. I carry lots of expensive tools and don't want my stuff stolen.. We do ride in Colorado and Arkansas as well as TX and OK
I found the following wrench/socket sizes needed if you plan on any trail repairs:
axle nut 30mm
lower ball joints, front a arms, shocks, sway bar 18mm
upper ball joints 15mm
tie rod 24mm
rear a arms 21mm
clutch cover 8mm
Here is my locking system. The cable is short enough that you can't slide the Packout out of the mounts. I double nutted the cable clamps and then took a grinder and messed up the threads so you can't get the nuts off. If we stay somewhere in a motel and I can quickly remove the boxes and put...
I installed two Milwaukee pack out mounts and four boxes. I set the mounts 3/4 inch back from the edge of the bed so the lids would clear the bump out on the rear window. I wanted the maximum amount of room between the boxes for extra storage as well at the rear of the bed for extra storage...
Today I insulated the coolant lines from the front to the rear. What I did was take some Thermotec and stick it to some Siless sound deadening foam (sticky side to sticky side). I installed one piece on top of the coolant lines with the shiny side towards the lines to hopefully keep the heat...
A guy had his drive shaft cut in to by the axle hoop. So I pulled my skid plate and took a look at mine. The only thing wrong with mine was whoever installed it did not put the screw in the center of the eye that holds it up there. I noticed that the loop has a bend in it and it leans. and only...
Thanks. My Turbo R had both plastic and metal mounts for the coolant lines. I was able to get pipe wrap on most places. I covered the walls of the tunnel with Thermotec and you can now leave your drink in the cupholders and they don't get hot. I am going to tear into the Xpedition later today. I...
They said it was slightly low of freon. Service guy said it was sitting outside running and showing 50 degrees on his thermometer in the vent (outside temp was 100+) He didn't know what freon it took just that the tech used a $11000 Snap On machine to service it.
Got it home and let it set on...
I have R12, R22 and R134a and gauges for home and auto
Been recharging my home, vehicles and farm equipment for 25 years. Just gotta see what freon it takes
UPDATE on our XP5 heat and sound issues: I insulated the firewall with Thermo-Tec 13590 on the outside towards the engine bay. I removed the seat back from the rear seat and the thin pad that Polaris put there and installed Siless 4mm liner. Then reinstalled the Polaris liner. We took it for...
What about all of the comments all over the 'net about AA being cheap Chinese junk? Should we worry or since we are just getting a helix and weights it should be ok?
We got our XP5 Northstar on Friday. Took it out Saturday for a ride. 105+ degrees and four adults. Went about 20 miles at around 40 mph.
First, yes it's noisy...... About like my Turbo R before I did the sound deadening on it.. I had ear plugs on in the Turbo but after I installed the sound...
We have a couple places to ride in our county (Custer) but nothing as nice as Chaffee County has.. We have been riding SxS in Colorado since 2013. Summer's a great time to get out of the heat in TX. We always go through Westcliffe and thought it was a nice town.. Salida or even better Nathrop...
Westcliffe. It's a few hours closer to Texas to shorten our long drive. It's about 1 hour from Pueblo, Canon City or Salida so not too bad if you need something from a big city. Good SxS riding is about an hour and a half away (St Elmo, Tin cup, Mt Antero, etc)
