Atomic UTV told me 72" hub to hub. They are the one's promoting it and as far as I know the only ones with info on it.
That's how Polaris measures and my 74" hub to hub Turbo R is 78" wide.
I have several problems with it. One, you are gonna be around 78" wide, which is too wide for a lot of the places that we ride.
Second, the tie rod extensions sound cheap. I would want new longer one piece tie rods.. Also requires new springs, as well as new axles or axle bars (whatever the heck...
I saw a post elsewhere that HCR has a 72β Mid Travel kit for the Polaris Xpedition coming out next month.
with shock relocation to lower the front arm & clearance for up a 35β tire
Around $5500. The 72" width sounds good to me though I need to see the rest of the specs. 35's would help with...
You have to take the clips completely off. Then a deep wall socket fits over the lower strut mount.
The best video out there is the WD electronics video
Checked mine today. With 32" tires I am 13" in the rear so counting for the taller tires about 2" low. I am going to throw the 35's off of my Turbo R after Thanksgiving (Pro Armor Crawlers that actually measure about 33.75") and see if they rub. If they don't I will leave them on it and adjust...
preload will affect ride quality if you get the shocks out of their range (where the internal bypass stops working). see the shock therapy video and start at about the 6:00 mark. Not sure what the range is
I used the AA cruiser clutch kit. RPM dropped about 700. Yeah I lost some top end but I don't care. We mainly ride trails and occasionally run down county roads at 40mph and it still does that twice.
I find the side mirrors very useful if you go through narrow winding trails. The Defender with us last trip got some nasty scratches from not looking back to make sure the rear of the machine cleared the trees. I could look in the mirrors and easily miss them. Well worth the $200.
There is a company that already has the files for the xxpedition and is selling pre-cut window tint online. Don't remember the name right now but it's on the Facebook group for the expedition
I went back and modified it slightly. I took off the bottom pieces of insulation. Then I only insulated the suction refrigerant line (the large one) the best I could to keep the heat off of it. Also took the tunnel completely apart, which means remove the dash first and insulated it the best I...
Low is 35:1 like the Turbo R.
I installed the AA cruiser kit. Set it up for 32" tires which is two slugs (large magnets) and three small magnets in the other hole. RPM dropped about 700. Quietened it some but not enough. Didn't notice any power difference at low speeds, maybe a little slower...
What tires are you talking about? Those from a Turbo R? If so they are soft and won't last long
those came on my Turbo R. They have soft sidewalls, damage easy and don't last long
On my XP5 two cables were too short (main power and wires to turn signals). The cable going from the dash to the brake lights was one piece. It needs to unplug so you can remove the bed for service, so I cut it and added a waterproof connector. I went with the Ryco in the first place because it...
Ryco sucks. Instructions are awful. Had to use the WD electronics youtube video to figure it out. Pixs are too small and you can't blow them up enough to see any details. Works good but I will never buy another.
Gonna have to spend about $4000 for Fox RC2's and springs from Shock Therapy and then it still won't ride as good as an Xpedition because the Xpedition has internal bypass shocks. For those plan on spending about $5k
I put Fox RC2's on my 17 General right after I got it. It rode better but...
My XG's stink in Oklahoma, TX and Louisiana mud. Treads are too close together and don't clean out. I have been running them since 2016 on several machines
I have ran XG's for years. They do great on rocks. They suck on mud and snow.
They run small in size. My 35's measure about 34"
33x10x15 Tire Weight: 39 lbs the tire is about a 31.5-32β tire
Because of the roof design that you mentioned I stuck the Siless 4mm foam to the headliner. Some didn't stick well so I used some spray adhesive. Since the foam is laying on top of the headliner all it really has to do is stay in place until I got the headliner reinstalled.
I covered the outside of the rear firewall with Thermotec 13590. Covered the inner firewall behind the rear seat with Siless 4mm sound deadening foam. Made floor mats out of 1/2" exercise mats. Insulated between the roof and headliner with Siless as well. Insulated the top side of the coolant...
My Northstar Auto stop did not work from the factory. It actually pulled the rubber donut with the magnet into the Fairlead and tore it up..
When I added the remote control kit to the expedition that changed out the Auto stop box as well. My auto stop now works except I had to mount the donut...
I have a '15 Ranger with full cab (power windows and heater). I had a 17 General with full cab and heater. Ranger cost 25k, General cost 30k. I expected my Xpedition to be better in all aspects than the two older machines. More power, smoother ride, etc. Both of the old machines are quieter and...
They could have insulated it from the factory. They could have did a better job on how quiet the engine and exhaust are. From what I have read, the new XP's that have this engine also are very loud.
Why couldn't you have speed and comfort? ever drive a Mustang, Camaro or Corvette?
Sure it's...
That's the pot calling the kettle black. I suggest you take a look at your posts. All you do is bitch and complain about Polaris. If you don't want one then don't buy one and get off of here.
Delays aren't public info and don't have to be released. If you don't want to wait go buy something else. I have special ordered nearly a dozen new vehicles over the years and sometimes you just gotta wait. My '20 SD took 5 months to get because it was a new design for that year and they wanted...
Good luck with compensation. Let me guess you must be one of those that thinks everybody owes them something? There are guys out there with Ford trucks on order for two or three years yet you are complaining about waiting on an Xpedition? There are still supply chain issues. I think maybe...
The Terrabites did not do good in mud either. I would say they did about the same as the crawlers would.
Unless you plan on doing rocks I don't think the crawlers are worth the money for you
I think the tusk megabites would do better in the snow and the mud because the tread is not so close...
I've been running them since 2016. Have them on my XP Turbo. And I've got 35s on my Turbo R. Very good for rocks and general trail riding. Not good in snow or mud as the tread fills up then you aren't going anywhere
He doesn't appear to know much about Polaris sxs's despite the fact that he owns rangers. main source of the heat in the tunnel has always been the coolant lines.
i also don't care for the fact that he says "people on the forums say" then tells us stuff he read off the forums. IF your are gonna...
Will do. Also going to put the 35's off of my Turbo R on it when we bring it home from our vacation home over Thanksgiving. They are Pro Armor crawlers like the stock tires. They measure about 34" so they should work. If i leave them on I might have to adjust the weights on the clutch. I still...
