No .
I think the problem is it's because the machine is so heavy.
When I got my new turbo r a couple years ago I noticed its brakes weren't very good either. It's quite a bit heavy than my old XP Turbo
Easy tablet mount for 8" tablet. RAM HOL-TAB24U tablet holder, two 1.5" ball bases C size X002D09UHF and a RAM Mount Plastic 1.5'' Ball 2.25'' Double Socket Short Size Arm RAP-201U-B. Remove the window latch and two push pins. Drill hole and mount the base. Reinstall. DONE!
I thought mine was the shocks needing nitrogen because it clunked on both sides. I was surprised that it was the steering rack.
Ask your dealer how they feel about mods. Some don't care some do. Did you buy an extended warranty or are you still under the Polaris 6 month warranty? From my...
I used the Aftermarket Assassin cruiser kit. It includes new primary and secondary springs, as well as a new helix and weights. If you go the Gilomen kit don't just get the weights, get the whole kit like my AA.. Nor would I get the Polaris kit with weights only.
I put my 35" Pro armors on mine after installing the AA cruiser kit. Wasn't good and not much power out all- plus it rubbed on both sides. I went back to my 32" Tusk Terrabites.. If the Pro Armor Crawlers hadn't of rubbed I would have taken off some weight on the clutch and tried again. My...
I have max amount of weight on my AA cruiser kit. Yeah in standard mode it takes more time to get to highway speeds but the quietness is worth it to me.
I bought some torque sticks when I did my clutch. I tested them on bolts screwed into a nut on my bench first. From what I found they were...
No word on when the 2025 will be released so who knows what issues it will have. So far I have saw posts saying that the front end clunk has been caused by steering rack/EPS, ball joint, or sway bar bushing. Polaris used a steering rack/EPS combo in the Turbo R and I haven't saw anybody having...
I saw Wade Superhand Glovier post (from one of the FB groups) on the Wild Boar Ranger rear bumper and another poster, who's name I forgot. So about 2 months ago I ordered the bumper and a 6k winch from SATV. I planned on re-enforcing the bumper and mounting the winch there. I finally got my Xped...
They must have had a bad run of steering racks. Mine started making the noise after about 50 miles. I know of three that have been replaced and many others with the knocking issue
I personally am going to wait for Polaris to introduce the HVAC version of the Pro XP. I saw they had a patent last year on it. I would like the power that the turbo has for places we ride at altitude but for $10k I can shift to low if I need more power...
Clutch kit and insulation is about as good as its gonna get unless you regear it. The noise on the Xpedition motor is coming from the drive train not the exhaust. I compared the noise at the exhaust tip and drive train between my Ranger and Xpedition. They are about the same at the exhaust but...
Finally got my Xpedition back. It's been at the dealer since January 3rd for a knocking sound in the front end when going over rocks and through ditches. They first diagnosed it as the tie rods. Replaced those and still knocking. Then they said it was the steering rack/EPS. Replaced that and...
I had a John Deere 4066R tractor with cab a few years ago. With all of the glass the A/C. Couldn't keep up. I spent about $700 getting the windows tinted. Didn't make a lot of difference. Early in the mornings when it was in the 70's or low 80's the A/C did alright and the morning sun shining on...
Here in Texas we get lots of 100+ days and my ac didn't work good at all. Driving slow on trails worked ok. Get on the hot blacktop and drive at 40+ mph we were sweating in the cab. GF sitting in the back seat burned her back from the rear firewall getting very hot. I insulated the rear firewall...
Only thing that makes it do it is the deeper the ditch I drive through or the larger the rock I drive over. Something related to the front suspension articulating.
Mine doesn't do it on flat ground. Only rocky stuff. I had to find a ditch at the dealership to drive through so they could hear it.
Haven't hear back since they removed the sway bar for testing
Will do.. I put 32's on mine and the clunk seemed to get worse. I still think the shocks need nitrogen and the larger tires make the clunk worse because of the extra weight
I took my front loose right after I got it but it made the clunking in the front end worse so I put it back on. Once they get the clunking fixed I will take it loose and try again. I always run with the fronts off on my rzrs
Dealer replaced the steering rack/EPS, and still clunking. Now they are going to completely remove the front sway bar and see if the noise is from there. If not that, then they are going to swap out the shocks from another Xpedition. I will keep the group informed
That's what I have figured all along. My General had the same problem but it had Fox RC2 shocks from Shock Therapy.
Not sure why they can't check them. They first changed the tie rods and now have a new steering rack on order..
Mine has been in the shop for about a month for this. The clunk I get is when I drive over obstacles and in ditches, etc. First they replaced the tie rods. That didn't fix it. Last I heard they said it was the steering rack and they were getting with Polaris on that
The Aftermarket Assassins "cruiser kit" includes a new helix (your choice of performance or high load) new primary and secondary springs and weights. The weights have holes drilled in them that you place different magnets in for more or less weight
Before I bought my Xpedition I did some research on them tipping over. My Xpedition is 33.9 degrees- that is as it comes from the factory with NO roof rack or tent. 33 is as low as you can go and still pass the test. General XP4s are 37.4 degrees. XP900 was 38 degrees. Rangers are 35-37...
I carry extra fuel in two Rotpaxs in the back of the bed. I don't have mounts. They are just tied to the tie down points.
Here is the girl that tipped it. She had no previous SXS experience. Having said that if you look at the pix she appears to be on level ground?: First Look: Polaris...
You are getting awful top heavy between the rack, tent and spare tire. Are you still the standard width? When Polaris came out with these machines and took all of the social influencers out in the desert, somebody carrying a tent on top turned theirs over.
I turned my General over once and don't...
I maxed the weights out on my AA kit. I think rpm went down another 150-200 rpm from AA's recommend settings for my tire size. So far I haven't saw any downfalls. Once I get the skid plate and rear bumper and rear winch installed I will probably have added over 350 lbs extra to the XP5 (includes...
From my experience with AA, he (Michael Hurd) will answer any question you have. I typically message him via FB but he also has a contact form on his website. I have his kits on my XP5 as well as my Turbo R
Aftermarket Assassins
So they are replacing the steering rack/EPS because it's loose? Mine has a knocking sound up front on both sides when you go over bumps and rocks. They replaced the tie rods which fixed nothing. Now they think the rack is bad. They have updated my case with Polaris but I haven't heard anything...
I got my SATV skid plates yesterday. My Xpedition is still at the dealer for the knocking sound in the front so it will be awhile before I can install them. Still not sure how they are going to work with the low profile slider. I will report back
That's his opinion. Talk to the guys at Gilomen and After Market Assassins about their kits. The guy from AA has over 900 hard miles on his Xpedition running his clutch kit and no issues.
Gilomen quiet low rpm clutch kit only contains new weights and a primary spring. You would have to add their Super Clutch Kit to get the secondary spring and a new helix and then add more weights to lower the rpms.
The After Market Assassins S3 Clutch Kit with the cruiser option gives you a...
I have used the low profile sliders for years. Had them on my 2016 XP Turbo and they were still on it when I sold it in 2022. Yep they had some dents and dings but survived the Rocky Mountains Four or five times a year. 2022 Turbo R has them as well. Ones on the Xpedition are thicker so should...
I run low profile rock sliders on both my Turbo R and Xpedition. The Xpedition one's are nearly 1/4" thick.
Low Profile Rock Sliders, 2-Seat | Polaris XPEDITION
Trail Armor is $1100 plus around $200 for shipping. SATV is $764 and FREE shipping. I have Trail Armor a arm and trailing arm guard on my Turbo R but am not going to pay $500 extra for theirs just to get the one bolt removal for changing the oil.
I drill and tap all of the holes on my...
32" Tusk Terrabites. I put them on the day I got it. Didn't make any noticeable difference at all (they only measure 31" or so anyway)
The tires and sound deadening did very little for the sound, if anything it made the sound different and slightly less annoying
