The 2 people I know that have 35” tires on their Xpeditions haven’t done clutch kits yet. One of them is thinking of dropping down to 32”s because 35s makes it feel sluggish. I’d think it would be highly recommended. The heavier springs in a clutch kit would reduce the chance of belt slippage.

Also check side to side fitment. There may be some room on the top hinges to slide it further towards the leaking area.

A little. Depends how much slide room the bottom latch has. Just pull 1 bolt and you should be able to see. You don’t want too much pressure on the latch but a slight amount of pull to latch the windshield is fine

My suspicion on the front end clunking problems is that it could be the A-arm bushings. On the 2 Xpeditions I’ve had in my shop, that had the bad clunking noises, both made the noise by just bouncing the suspension. Neither owner asked for it to be looked into, so I can’t confirm the suspicion...

A lot of people are going with Milwaukee Packout coolers and boxes, myself included. Several companies make Packout mounts for the Xpedition and the Packout system is very versatile with a ton of different box sizes and the coolers work quite well.

We haven’t bothered with that so far. It was only a 2 mph difference between mine when it still had 30s on it and my brother’s with 32s. My guess would be to call Gilomen or Aftermarket Assassins to see if they can.

Aftermarket Assassins is based in Wisconsin and Gilomen is based in Minnesota so they know cold weather.

For everyday use on my Xpedition I use Packout soft coolers. They’ll keep ice for a day and a half. But for camping, we use Lifetime coolers. They’ll keep ice for 3+ days in the southern Nevada summer heat and are less expensive than Yetis.

Guess the paddle set we have are Hostile Wheels. Still a super light set with the front slick coming in at 30.8 lbs and the rear paddle at 37.6 lbs.

Come to think about it, I believe we still have my cousin’s paddle set with those super light wheels in my shop still. I’ll have to check their weights tomorrow.

I mounted up a set of the same tires on the set of Raceline Beadlocks I had on my Xpedition previously. They come in at 57.0 Lbs. Putting the Raceline wheels 2.8 lbs heavier. I’d honestly be surprised if there’s any beadlocks that are lighter than Packard’s

Considering all the extra hardware in the Packard beadlock wheel, I’d say it’s pretty good to keep that close the plain stock wheel. If I ever do another set of them I’ll try to remember to weigh them

I think the majority of that weight difference is the tire. I didn’t weigh just the Packard wheel but the website says 17.5 lbs Weighing a stock wheel it says 17.4 lbs.

Yeah. There’s plenty for the 4x156 bolt pattern but practically nothing for the 137

Just finished installing new tires and wheels. These are Packard Performance S5 Beadlock Wheels with 3.5x3.5 offset and Maxxis Carnivore 32/10 R15 Tires. I’m loving the new look 😊

I modified the shock tool that comes in the tool kit with the Xpedition so that works like a crow’s foot. A 24” breaker bar makes adjustments much easier and adding extensions brings it down where I can get more swing.

Polaris has their basic solution which is just different clutch weights that lower the cruising rpm. You should be able to ask your dealer for it if that’s what you’re looking for. I doubt they’ll be doing anything more than that.

It should definitely be higher than that at that RPM. Especially with larger tires. My guess would be either the clutch isn’t getting the full stroke travel or it might be the belt. We’ve found that different belts can affect the speed range.
