After reading everything on the site, and getting really nervous about the machine I wanted to write a quick review.

Fit and finish is excellent. Not the rattle trap I expected at all. A/C is great. Stereo is great! Suspension is absolutely beyond my expectations. Even after coming from the electronic suspension on the Pro XP.

This forum had me genuinely concerned I might not leave with the machine due to the noise. I am happy to say that this machine is less noisy than my 2021 Pro XP and the exhaust note isn’t as abrasive. Simply flipping the rear seats up lowers the volume at my head so that leads me to believe that putting in the sound deadening material will help a ton too. It’s not really worth it to me at this point. The noise level is fine with me.

I’m very impressed with this machine in every way but one. I do feel like it’s significantly underpowered. Im sure some of that is because I’m used to the power of the XP and how it doesn’t notice climbs etc. Some of it is because I live and ride at around 8500’ altitude. I didn’t need or buy any power upgrades for my XP, but I would for this machine. It’s ok under around 35mph, but it just doesn’t have the power above that.

Reports were that it was rough on gas mileage and I don’t have great numbers for you but here’s my experience: first day was garbage and I was disappointed with it. After putting some miles on it…maybe 4 hours of riding…it uses a ton less fuel and runs a little higher speed at lower RPM than day 1. I did the Alpine Loop this weekend and it was down to 40% tank rather than the 17-20% my RZR would be at. And that’s with it running significantly higher RPMs than the rzr would have all day.

Minor gripe would be that it would have been nice to have the steering wheel that has the buttons like the XP for the price tag on this machine.

Bonus note: I bought the large roof rack and it mounts up nice and solid.

That sums it up for me. Ill be getting rid of the XP, but I sure will miss that effortless power.

Dropping from a turbo sport car to a somewhat utility machine will do that lol. For me, I upgraded from a 2019 General so these Xpeditions feel snappy in comparison.

Aftermarket Assassins has a tune and clutch kits available that can help a little. You won’t see the performance of your old Pro XP but it can open it up a little.

Congrats on being one of the first to receive an ADV5 and thank you for sharing your initial thoughts! It looks like your dog is happy with the Xpedition purchase as well.

Where are you located? Just curious about the geographics of the ADV 5 rollout.

Dusty roads. Does the dust come in?
Unbelievably you can run it with the windshield cracked and both windows down and very little dust comes in. It just coats the back glass. If you aren’t running the NorthStar I’d bet there’s a bunch coming from the rear.

I think it was the Polaris marketing team trying to convince us an ADV 5 actually got delivered. They probably expect us to believe the US landed on the moon and the earth is round too.....sheesh, who do they think we are? 🤣
Haha not quite. I’m just a mostly normal Joe. If you look on Polaris’ Instagram you can see a solid pic of my pup happy in the machine! My girlfriend posted it and they picked it up I guess. Kinda cool!
