Hi guys!

Been waiting the dealer out up here in Alaska since they got the model on the floor 6-8 months ago. I was able to switch a spring check sled deposit to this machine, and I’m excited! Im an avid off-roader and have had quite a few machines over the years as missions and ideas change. I really think this model is on to something, and this market segment will blow up. Current Wrangler and BMW 1250GSA owner, but I think throwing the dog and wife in this machine will be a lot more manageable, and more comfortable!

Im picking it up Wednesday and am shopping trailers now. I’d like to know if anyone has a 2 door model that they fit in an enclosed 6x12x7 trailer? The measurements work, but it looks tight. Not sure if contorting myself in and out of the machine makes the enclosed trailer worth it, but I think the advantage of keeping the snow out of the trailer would be nice. We have a toy hauler we use in the summer, but I don’t like pulling it in the winter for short trips.

I’d apprecaite any help on the trailer,

Alex

Howdy and welcome to the forum.

In my opinion, the Xpedition has added an entirely new class to the SxS market and, despite how expensive they are, they really have blown up around where I’m at in Nevada, Utah and Arizona.

On the trailer, it sounds like it would be extremely tight. Even if you’re able to scrub against the right wall, getting in and out you’d have about 12 inches. Then there’s the question of securing the machine. Getting around the machine to hook tiedowns would be quite a challenge. You’ll also want to check the opening height. The Xpedition sits close to 6’ tall.

I had to purchase a new trailer for my Xpedition. My 7' wide enclosed trailer would not work.
I purchased a 102 x 16' enclosed trailer. It has extra height for the Xpedition. If you park tight to the right fender well you have enough room to get out.

I gave up on an enclosed trailer. Sold my 7.5x16 enclosed for a 22' utility trailer. I can load and secure in less than 10 minutes. Plenty of room for a friend or another unit when the time comes.

Ended up with a car hauler…figured I could use it for my project cars too. Got some KO2s coming for the ice and snow roads I plan to ride. The OEMs are horrible on snow and ice! The last machine I had came with the big horns..they were much better.

Figured I run some KO2s as they do great on my truck and Wrangler.

Thanks for the input on the trailer. I agree the open was better for my needs.
