Whip mounts from Viper Machines (PHOTOS)

Viper gave me permission to share these photos of the whip mounts they have designed for the Xpedition.
These are the prototypes. They are shipping the newer versions which recess the whip hardware a bit (have not seen that yet, just a description). I ordered a set and will come back to post when the newer ones arrive. I may have to put it somewhere else because I do some trails with low-hanging branches and having them mounted that high will be a problem. I hope to mount in the track in the rear bed.

If you do install where they installed, it uses the factory bolt from the Xpedition.

Those are beautiful... I tried some new mounts that attach to the frame and they have an ugly angle it needs dble adjust ment to have them go vertical.

It wouldn’t be hard to make those work with the bed rails in the XP. The beauty of the Vyper mounts is that they work on both the ADV and XP.

For a less expensive option that only works with the XP, this is what I did.


These are just 1/4” spacer bars I had laying around with holes already in them. (Basically a 1/4”x 1-1/2” flat strap). A 1/2” bolt will drop into the rail slots but I had to file the shoulder by the head for it to slide down the track. These have worked great for our Xpeditions but I was keeping an eye on Vyper for all the ADVs we work on.
