Color Swap…. Anyone done it yet?

Has anyone done a color swap on their Xpedition?

I’m tempted to get my green plastics painted red like this one in the pics….

I’m curious how big of a pain it is to get everything apart.

Anyone done a wrap?

Painting really wouldn’t hold up very well. That machine is wrapped. There’s several graphic wrap companies that have the Xpedition wraps available where you can choose your own color or graphics and have them wrap it or get a pre-cut kit and do it yourself.

Hey JT, are you sure thats wrapped, i dont see any seems, or body color at the edges or in the door handles. Just wondering, im looking to do a color change as well and cant determine if these builds are wrapped or painted. Im looking to do a matte black like this but if its wrapped, its done so well you cant tell. I really want these Orange panels black.. lol

Mine and the SDR red one are painted. Have to take all the panels off to do it. Take some time but worth the result. A good wrap shop would do the same if you wanted clean results. There are wraps available that are multiple pieces per panel, they look good from 20ft but up close there will be gaps between the sticker panels

The Red SDR car is definitely painted. I painted mine ,its not to bad to take apart. lots of pull pins, its a great time to do all your wiring if you are adding accessories.

That is a fantastic looking machine you have there. Love the color.

Also, I guess that was a bad assumption on the SDR machine. Pretty much all color changes I’ve ever seen in person were wraps.
