When I first saw the release of the XPEDITION I couldn't tell if the bed has the dump feature or not, but after some research, I can confirm that the XPEDITION XP does have a dump bed feature. However, the XPEDITION ADV does NOT have a dump bed. The bed in the XPEDITION ADV is fixed.

Hmm. I wonder how much that will be a deal breaker for something looking at the 5 seater? It's nice to have the dump bed when using it around the property for a work vehicle.

The XPEDITION XP series 2-seat and 5-seat vehicles have dump beds, but the XPEDITION ADVs do not. The ADVs do get the fold-down lay-flat rear seats though.

The ADV is the same as the XP other than the fact that the bed doesn’t dump and it has a bed cap on it. Do you have facts that’s states the ADV bed cap will or will not fit on the XP? I’m looking for answers that make sense not some keyboard warrior that tells me the ADV is a SUV lol.

If you have proper information then I’m all ears. I want to know if this is possible!

An aftermarket company might make a bed cap at some point, but the XD and the ADV are different vehicles and the bed cap is not interchangeable. The XP has a dump bed whereas the ADV doesn't and is a solid structure all the way to the rear of the vehicle. The bed cap on the ADV is actually part of its structure/body and not a bolt-on piece.

Can you add the fixed rear roof from the ADV to the XP?

What is your plan?
Are you trying to convert your xp to a adv?

Or are you just wanting to enclose the dump bed?

The factual info you want won’t exist yet there are so few of these things out there.

To get a ADV to dump or fold down seats in a XP would be a feat. I would just order the xpedition you want depending on which feature you may want.
You could get the fold down seat backs from an ADV and install in the XP… it’d just be somewhat pointless. The XP 5 rear seat backs mount the same as the ADV, they just have bolt on hardware in the place of the latches.

One thing worth noting, for those who don’t already know, on the XP you have to tilt the bed up and remove the bed Lift ram in order to change the belt. It goes from the bed to the bottom frame directly in front of the belt cover.
The ADV won’t have this issue but you also won’t have as much working space as the XP with the bed up.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the XPs get a safety recall over this as once the bed ram is removed there’s nothing particularly holding the bed up. There are holes in the bed side of the hinge that you can stick a screwdriver through as a safety stop, but there’s no safety pin included. If you’re parked on a flat surface or parked pointing uphill, the bed will hold itself up without the ram, but even a gentle bump can bring it down.

When I did Maintenace on my ranger I would raise the bed, remove the Cother pin and use a rubber bunggy cord to hold the bed up while connecting it to the headache rack or door hinge.
